Save Wildlife Vietnam’s Thai Van Nguyen has dedicated his life to rescuing and rehabilitating pangolins.
Together with Australian vet Leanne Wicker, he has set up a state-of-the-art rehabilitation centre and is working to return pangolins to the wild.

I love Pangolins. I hope that people will stop killing them.

This should be an internationally protected species. There should be stiff prison penalties for the poaching and selling of these animals. They have no natural defenses.

Might sound harsh but, poachers need to be seriously punished, not just fines or 1 to 2 years in gaol. Thank you to all involved in the rescue and rehabilitation 👍🇦🇺

There is newest video from this organisation and they said jail terms now are 15 years long! Still the butchery goes on....They must have more boots on the ground in all Asian forests...armed...like they have in African parks....

Thank you for this program...heart breaking viewing but there is hope! Amazing work is being done in Vietnam...BUT they need more boots on the ground! We must be ruthless in wildlife protection...too many species are on the brink of extinction...pangolin cannot become one of them!!

I like Vietnam,,,, but,,,,, the Vietnamese will use any resource to survive. I have seen trailer loads of dead dogs that made me cry,, but this is truly eating at my soul,, such an innocent helpless creature being destroyed,, in the way of $$$$

yes...I weep as well...BUT there are huge changes in Vietnam...they are becoming leaders in conservation.....the bile farming of bears is nearly finished...their elephants from riding camps are going to sanctuary....and there is plenty of pressure put on them to finish dog/cat industry...progress is slow but it is happening...

Poachers pay off the police in Asia so this will continue until the animal is extinct. The same thing is happening in Canada, Australia, the United States and the vietnamese food markets sell illegally caught wildlife. Computer keyboard manufacturers in California are full of people who poach on the weekend and come back and sell what they caught. San Jose California the vietnamese community in that city do this on a regular basis and department of fish and game is overwhelmed with complaints.
