I MET A FILIPINO FAMILY THAT LEFT CANADA AFTER 17 YEARS, AND HAS COME BACK TO DAVAO... AND THEY CREATED AN AMAZING RESTAURANT IN THE MOUNTAINS!
In this video, I leave the beach home in Cateel, Davao Oriental, and head to Bukidnon. Along the way, I meet up with Kumander Daot in BuDa and try a restaurant called "Pilgrim". It is not only amazing and delicious, but the story of the the family running it is awesome! From this amazing restaurant, we make our way across Bukidnon... Kumander Daot on his scooter, and me in a car.
Stopping at a few well known beautiful spots... we end up making our way for Wao, Lanao Del Sur.
An awesome day meeting Canadian Filipinos and eating food in Davao, then driving through Bukidnon, Mindanao!

Compared to what things were like in the boondocks when I lived and worked there from 1983 - 2001 is nothing short of amazing. A suggestion to add context to your travelogs would be to occasionally show your location on a map making it easier for the viewers not familiar with the geography to follow where the places you highlight are located.

@@mobius88 Actually I search the maps app on my iPhone but it would be more convenient not to need to pause the video to do that. Since Kyle navigates via iPhone it would not be difficult to create screen shots to incorporate as B Roll in the videos.

Shoutout from Houston Texas. I lived here for 33 yrs. I was born in Iloilo but also have houses in Kalibo Aklan and Tubungan iloilo. I’ve never been to cebu and Mindanao. Build on looks so beautiful. Kulas thanks for your blog. Ya’ll have fun there!

So nice to see more scenic views of Bukidnon. I've heard to name Don Carlos as the new capital of Bukidnon and transfer accessibilities and opportunities in the area. The current capital is Malaybalay which is so congested now and it's hard for more expansions. Awesome trips Kulas and K.Daot-Daugie.

Hi kulas! Im from wao lanao del sur but now im here in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. OFW. Many years ago when i was still working as Van salesman we used to take that backroads from wao to Don Carlos ( via kalilangan and kadingilan) . We called it the less travelled road hahahaha how I wish i can pass there again.

Just browsing and see this video. Kudos to this family for returning home to PInas. Vacationing Pinas soon. Davao is not part of my itinerary A month vacation is not enough. Attending HS reunion in Samar. Sometime in Manila and Palawan. Maybe next time i can visit Pilgrim place. The food in your resto looks delicious and wanted to try it someday. Good luck.
