It’s pretty interesting how areas have different local fishing styles. Here in west coast canada we don’t troll for halibut but we will stop on one place and just jog for them while drifting with the ocean current. Seeing that you drift for halibut is a real novelty for me!

After Kobu-Jime treating my halibut, salmon and tuna today, I decided to pull out some fresh water eel at the last minute. I'm trying to cut back on my carbs, so everything is sashimi style on a nice bed of shredded daikon radish. _I would prefer everything to be fresh caught, but unfortunately I had to rely of my stash in the chest freezer._ (living in east Portland, I'm not far from the sea, so I should be yakking like you!) I could eat this *EVERY SINGLE DAY!* (I wish I had some sea urchin) _Tight lines!_
