Unfortunately shooting sketches are sometimes light in details, as parts of them end up in separate paid content called memories. As for cgi, please ignore anyone being unreasonable about you mentioning cgi. Too many young fans take offence for no reason, when cgi is a great tool to that can be used.

Anyone saying they don't ever use green screen/cgi has never watched a shooting sketch or is just lying. That being said, 99% of the time thinking they could never possibly ever ends up oh yes they can and absolutely did tho. 🙃😂

I like your point that there's nothing wrong with CG... there are just different ways to accomplish things. BTS responded to criticism of their music videos having too much CG (which is probably why some armies are defensive about this)... by putting out a video that is incredibly and blatantly animated. (It's Idol, I don't think you've seen it yet, it's chaotic AF.) I really appreciate how you point out things I know nothing about! I learn a lot from your videos and love the way you share your expertise with us. Personally, I think the emphasis on physical sets etc really makes the moments when they use other techniques feel special. I think I mentioned it in another comment, but I've started watching stuff from another BigHit group, TXT. They do magical concepts and have been using projection mapping rather than CGI - which is just a super cool choice. I'm fascinated by it.

I’ve seen a KZfaq video of behind the scenes of this music video. I suggest you see if it’s still on KZfaq. Jimin & JK were on wires & were lifted up in the scene with Suga rapping. Cars on fire & exploding were real as well. Big Hit goes all out on the making of BTS’ music videos.

Love that your foot is tapping. 😉 I think people that say BTS never do CGI are doing them a disservice. It is not that BTS never use CG but that we are amazed that so much of what they do is “in camera work”. They don’t go the easy route and and rely on CGI all the time. They work extra hard and creatively to provide ARMY with the highest quality MVs.

About the part with Jungkook that you were trying to figure out. Jungkook mentioned that they took a video of him doing that part. Because he had to come in early to the shoot for them to do it. So they just projected the video of him on the "mirror" and because they tend to do everything the same when it comes to dancing parts over and over it matched pretty well.

to my knowledge, the "no CGI" thing is mostly related specifically to Fake Love, where almost everything is practical, there's only i think 3 minor instances of CG (phone turning to sand, flower petals floating up from/around JK during the interlude, the fire in Yoongi's room being made bigger (fire WAS there just smaller))

please ignore those no cg comments, it's perpetuated misconception, as if good cg isn't a lot of hard work just like building sets. we know bts do use cgi, i think on mv (not the kinetic manifesto, the other one) is an example of good cg use on their part (with still mostly real sets).

Love the reaction! Unsure if it’s been suggested before but stray kids could be a great group for you to check out if you lean more towards hip hop/rap than pop. And they have some outstanding MVs with great cinematography and camera work, particularly their scene transitions always baffle me. And usually have behind the scenes episodes too!

Your understanding of videos that address their treatment by the press, the establishment and the public, and when they address haters (depicted as black hooded figures in multiple videos including this one where the haters are also the press, or Not Today where the haters becomes ARMY by the end and are in ranks behind them) would be greatly aided by a better understanding of how the K-pop industry usually always worked. BTS came up outside of that industry. Great effort was put into suppressing them, preventing them from performing, cutting out their performances, organized hate campaigns, slandering them with unfounded accusations like of plagiarism, “the black wave,” trying to financially crush them to then do a hostile buyout of their company, so they could muzzle and bench them (as has been done to other groups) personal attacks and trying to emotionally destroy them so they disband (which was almost successful) death threats which shut down concerts and much more. There is a reason ARMY is protective of them and they talk about haters and critics in some of their music. They had no big, powerful label and the accompanying established stars of those labels for protection and mentoring as most groups do. They had little budget for advertising and were mistreated by the press, the idol shows, and openly bullied on air by variety show hosts who later admitted to doing so under corporate pressure. They wrote their own music from the start and controlled much about their own lives and schedules, unlike most groups. They also were fearless about taking huge risks with their hard hitting content like sharing mental health struggles and punching upwards at things like societal ills and government corruption when they were still a small and bullied band, like the commentary on the government built into the visuals of Spring Day. No other K-pop group would touch such subjects before BTS. No other group also had their level of artistry and depth, their genius for lyrics and visual storytelling, or a through line of multiple layers of storytelling from song to song and album to album of both fictional and metaphorical and personal growth storylines. just started watching your reaction vids. it's nice, no worries on the pausing :) just for the whole idea of the video so you can link the scenes, they were interrogated, there are parts inside the prison, then the group of people in black came, then they are gone and then found outside, having police cars and ambulances burning - which means they got away with it. People who say there is little to no cg are just ignorant and have a weird bias against cg. Almost all of BTS' music video has a little bit of post production cg or digital cleaning and enhancements, but it get's overshadowed by their practical effects because its just simply very impressive. For example, the fire explosion in Fake Love. There was real fire on set, and post production enhancement to make the fire look bigger. It would be extremely dangerous if they actually set off a fire that size on site. There is nothing wrong with pointing out any cg (whether its true or not) because cg doesn't always mean lazy or low effort.

That people *still* persist in telling *professional video directors and filmographers* that BTS uses _no_ CG or green screen.... 😬🙄 Yes, BigHit's directors used practical effects as much as possible when they had a lower budget, but that wasn't because it was a matter of pride to do so. Starting in 2017 with DNA, it was open season for special effects.
