Welcome, Filmmaker William Rouse to the channel today. He will be reviewing one of the most cinematically pleasing video games of the last decade: Red Dead Redemption 2. When you think cinema, you might think Westerns, and for good reason - Storytelling, action-packed, craziness. William is here to walk us through various scenes both in-game and cutscenes describing how different camera angles and dialogue help guide the audience through a story with attention to detail being key. We hope you enjoy today's video and be sure to leave a warm welcome for William in the comments. Would you like to see him reacting to more games in the future?
The action-adventure game Red Dead Redemption 2 takes place in a Western-themed setting. In the game, players explore a fictionalized version of the Western, Midwestern, and Southern United States in the late 1800s, during the wild period of the Wild West. The player controls Arthur Morgan of the Van der Linde gang, a member of the outlaw gang, as he completes numerous missions to advance the plot.

Spoilers are overrated, i played RDR2 already knowing Arthur gets TB, still enjoyed every second of it and it's for me the best story game ever, yeah it could have been a better experience, but if the quality of a story is determined solely on the end then it's certainly not a good story, it's more about the journey.

14:27 It's also really cool to note that during an NPC camp conversation hosea asks arthur how he wanted to die and he replied "facing west, watching the sunset, watching an old day end" but he actually dies facing east, watching the sunrise, watching a new day begin, representing who he was and who he has become. It's crazy how the little details come together so brilliantly.

(SPOILER WARNING) If I remember correctly Hosea, Lenny and Tilly are talking about how they want to be buried when they're gone. Hosea says that he want to be buried with friends, Lenny agrees (foreshadowing much) and then Hosea asks Arthur, which replies that he wants to be buried facing West. In the end Charles actually buries Arthur facing West, like he wanted. But the fact that he dies facing a rising sun is still incredibly poetic and beautiful.

John was clean up crew and Jack is ushering in the prohibition age. From there they’ll likely connect gta and rdr to make it full circle. They already put John in gta online as a grandfather option if I’m not mistaken.

@@A_name_is_a_name you are correct, but I feel that if we are going in to the age of orginized crime of the 20's and 30's it would need to be a new IP in my opinon, if we get a red dead 3 i think it should be at the hieght of the wild west of the 1870s and 80s

@@true_shermanator1129 Y’all have no idea what you’re talking about & are demanding a prequel of the prequel and it would ruin the entire story put in place. As well the prohibition age wasn’t organized crime entirely but the entire story is about organized crime & would connect GTA universe with RDR. Think moonshining route & “lawless” (w/ Tom Hardy) setting. Also forgetting the World War Jack may get to be a part of & the weapons you can use deriving from that setting. They’ve done the wild west desert and backwoods bayou, it’s time for the Appalachian country. It works perfectly for connecting the two universes & ending the two legacy titles with a 3 & 6. Anyhow, a prequel of the prequel is the worst idea possible in all of cinematography history. Not trying to be rude but that’s just my opinion on it overall.

@@A_name_is_a_name no rdr 3 doesn't really need to be a prequel to the prequel, could be a separate story with a very loose tie in to the others, and the new IP i agree with the Appalachian country setting, being a moonshiner or what not, but i would love to see the transition of what seems like decent lawmen in rdr 2 and im assume rdr (i havent played it) to the very corrupt police of the Gta franchise (we saw a little bit of that in rdr 2, but in what ever story comes with that new game it becomes more apparent or something
