Once the film is used up, you wind it all back into its film case that it came out of, then either get it developed by someone or learn how to develop film yourself with the right chemicals. Once that's done, the film will have what's called a negative image, where the brightness is reversed, and where the color is also reversed if you used color film. You can keep it as is and just look it by yourself if you want, but most people don't. What you can do instead is either A pay someone to make prints of some or all of the pictures you took, which will be positives instead of negatives, B make prints yourself, which has similarities to developing film, or C use some kind of tool or toolset to scan them and then if you want you can make positives digitally and basically do whatever. If you have a digital camera of any kind and an even neutral light source that should be enough to get started, there are various premade tools available to scan film, and some people even make a whole custom jig to make the scanning process better and faster and maybe making it automated. (the premade tools might have some amount of automation too.)

So uh tldr get it developed, get prints made if you want, and get it digitally scanned if you want. Digital scanning also lets you make prints from the digital copy.
