Filters and heaters belong together like marshmallows and hot chocolate. I have never tried any OASE product before but had a lot of fun unboxing and giving my first impression of the Bioplus Thermo 100. This is an internal filter with a heater inside!

Easy peasy, great unboxing! Definitely good for medium to small tanks. If the intake vents were smaller that would be great for shrimp and fry tanks. Thanks for the unboxing.

I'm not sure if I would like internal filters or not. They seem like they take up a chunk of room in the tank and they are harder to hide with plants. Very nice review. I just subscribed, I'm liking forward to seeing more of your content.

Great video keep it up. combo is actually great to have. I know my friend carry their bigger fliter for his store and use them for his bigger tanks.

They actually do make really small ones but they are out of stock at a lot of sellers. Its called the biocompact 25. It does not have the heater. I am looking into one as an option for my next betta tank.

I always watch your reviews. Very concise, informative and unbiased. I'm really thinking on purchasing one of these based on your review. I too wonder if another brand or wattage ( of equal dimension) would fit in the space. Judging by your video, it looks as though it's not a really tight fit to allow water movement past the heater.

I have not tested other heaters but I would like to. One of the OASE brand ambassadors comes to our club swaps so I will ask him directly if this filter is compatible with other brands ^_^

You will have to do an update on the heater filter combo because I have never had much luck with heaters they always blow.

I use heaters in my bottom tanks in the winter but I don't fully trust them either. I've had many different brands fail on me in the past. I've had some kill fish too. It sucks when you sometime need a tool but it's not fully reliable.

Just with the heaters I think it's 1 watt = 1lt of water heated so this would heat a tank up to 100 liters or around 25 gallons. Over that and you need to run multiple heaters.

Hola. Y cuando lo has limpiado, ha salido mucha suciedad??? Yo acabo de comprarlo y es un despropósito... El agua y la suciedad que se supone que ha de recoger no pasa ni por el material filtrante ni biológico... Todavia sigo preguntándome cómo puede ser... Ya estoy tramitando la devolución aunque sigo sin creermelo...

This filter is pretty strong, I have no tried the smaller model but atm I feel that it's a bit too much for a betta tank. It's great for fish that like water movement though.

I bought the 200 a few months back . no matter how down I adjusted the temperature , it heats the 29 gallon tank to 90 degrees !!!! luckily I didn't have anything living in the tank .

I like internal filters, they should definitely make a 10-20 gallon one with low flow, would be great for small community/betta tanks

They do have a smaller model but I'm not sure about the flow. I will definitely ask about that when I talk to them.

Check out oase Bioplus thermo 50. They have flow control too.

So just from looking at it, I'd definitely be interested in seeing a follow up video for this product. From my perspective, it looks this will be very high maintenance for the limited amount of filter sponge. Looks just like a plastic corner piece. Let us know how it works out for you

Great content although this filter is not that great and would be better off with U series fluval or Eheims pickup range its ok

This freaking thing is a Death trap for small fish. We even tried to cover the gaps between the filter and the glass with sponge filter media, fish still get traped between the glass and the filter. Tried it in 2 tanks , today we threw the thing away since we saved my new betta fish just in time before it drowned.

Lol. Before you even unbox this I can see 2 problems... If the heater breaks you dont have a filter. If the filter breaks you dont have a heater. Just better to buy both separate.😜

The filter works without the heater. If the filter breaks, you just remove the heater and have it out in the tank. The heater is removable.
