if the company repurchased new shares, it would mean that the shares of remaining are 20000+8200=28200. No? i am a bit confused about that. could u please explain a bit?

Fei XU it is 20k - 8.2k.. because the company is purchasing back the shares from the shareholders. Number of shares therefore decreased.
