The twist at the end is so good. Definitely makes sense when you think about how they never did any research on the events from past movies and the similarities, because they didn’t happen yet.

REALLY??? The second Paris was mentioned I immediately thought of how it would end. My daughter (13) saw it too when I showed her. I wish he'd been just taking a "European vacation" or been told that his flight to Rome (Maybe he's an Italian chef) had been canceled, but there was room available on one to Paris. I don't know, just something where the Paris mention is sprung on us at the end.

Fun fact!!! I was hanging out with actor Kerr Smith (who played the jock in the original movie) at Sundance the year after this movie was released and I was the one to break the news to him that he actually appears in the last sequence via old footage. He had no idea! I will always remember that moment when I was like, dude you're in the last movie and his response was, "Wait what?" True story!

I think in some ways it’s also the most relatable or relevant death, in that there’s probably a lot more people who need/wear glasses than do gymnastics or get acupuncture etc. which makes it that much more scary and sad, because it’s easier to imagine and empathise with. Definitely the worst one for me personally, and I can say with confidence that I will be wearing glasses for the rest of my life (because this movie solidified that I am never ever getting laser eye surgery as long as I have a say in it lmao) Although anything involving burning alive is my actual worst fear, and hot oil like in the beginning premonition is another massive no fucking thank you 😬

@@abrimfulofasha She did eventually die, as did the guy who had saved her, who was the bus driver from FD 1 who hit what's-her-face. He lost his job, was homeless, had a vision... There's a really good timeline video for Death on KZfaq that I'd recommend for a better synopsis. It goes over the books and the comics, too! In fact, if The Movies were interested in doing a little mini episode, it'd be best to see them react to that video and maybe discuss what they think of the non-movie storylines and which ones they think would make a good film plot!

AAAAAAAAAAAAND scene. Enjoyed all the reactions. I will add, though, that giving the characters the moral choice of committing murder to trade a life-for-a-life gave them agency, something that was sorely lacking in earlier iterations. While the inevitability of death is disturbing in itself, it also removes any dramatic tension. We felt this idea remedied that. Also, I take a bow for coming up with the gymnastics death myself. I'm going to hell for sure. The twist ending was actually going to be used on the subway in FD3, with the survivors from FD2 revealing themselves to be on the train. But there were scheduling conflicts with the actors so we shelved it until FD5. Finally, please note we haven't even gotten the script yet for FD6. Soon! We hope to be shooting in August/September of this year, which means the earliest it will be ready for release is Summer or 2023. Thanks again for watching to movies. I hope you had as much fun as I did! CP

When this movie came out in 2011, I heard so many people say: "oh they did bring the story full circle." Only...they really didn't. There is no circle. There is a straight line. I mean, if you think about it...they simply put the beginning of the story arc at the position of the last _(so far)_ release. You could simply watch these five movies in the order of 5 - 1 - 2 - 3 - 4 and it would all "make sense". Sure, then people would be a little disappointed because of the crappy fourth part, as the end _(so far)_ of the series, but...that's the way it goes. But of course - the way they did this, they left themselves a way open for the sixth _(and seventh, and...)_ part of the series. Because this way, nothing is closed and/or resolved, and they can simply continue. In a straight line - not a circle.

I think my "favorite" death was Rory's in the second movie. Not the death itself, but what happened right before. Like him saving that teenage boy and him asking the main character, Kimberly to go to his apartment and remove anything that may upset his mother. The best premonition was in the second movie. The log scene is something that really sticks out in my mind and is truly unforgettable.

I think the two most memorable are Stiffler's death in 1 (due to its shock value), and the log through the cop window in 2 (because it caused EVERYONE to fear logging trucks).

It may not be the most gruesome but I think of that log truck scene in FD2 has effected me the most….. always cautious of that happening every time I pass one on the road.

The bridge that inspired this movie is The North Bay Bridge is a suspension bridge in New York that collapsed on April 26, 1999 as a result of high winds and construction, killing 86 people, including 17 employees of Presage Paper.

My sister had a dream where it was pitch black and she felt as she was being pinned down & couldn't breath... it scared her so much she told our mum and wouldn't go to school the next day for the school trip to france. During the trip the school bus crashed and her friend was pinned to the seat by a steel bar from a truck in front of them it went through her chest & lung, they put a blanket over her head whilst they cut her from the wreck, she lived but it shock my sister, this happened in 1987... so I believe something like this could happen....

The biggest giveaway for me was the Motorola Startac flip phone from 1996. Internet was definitely a thing but for geeks like me. We were using 28kbps modems through the phoneline. Search engine of the day was Altavista. You don't have mobile Internet until a few years later though, even though I used IR on my phone to give the Cassiopeia E-125 PDA internet connectivity. The 2G GSM internet speed was like 9.6kbps. Only with 3G, did the speed became fast enough to use mobile webpages on the PDA. The loop back to Final Destination was one of the best plot-twists of the entire series. The sound design of spine crush was what really sold Candice's death scene.

I went to see this movie with the sole purpose of voting the funniest death in it. Olivia came close, twice. Twice she made me say "Well, that won't necessarily kill her" when she fell off the bridge and got her eye burned with the laser, only to say "Oh, that'll do it" when the car fell on her and when she fell through the window. In the end, Nathan won. 😂 When that guy tells him "Ain't life a bitch" just before Nathan gets crushed I legit laughed and said "Nah, death's a troll!"

My theory: the undertaker is some devil who causes the major accidents to harvest souls to enslave for his army against God. The visions come from an angle trying to thwart his plans but needs to find someone who has what it takes to defeat the second deaths and the undertaker. The next movie should reveal all that, and the person who gets the vision is at last the one that can take on and defeat the undertaker before everyone dies.

Loved this reaction - and, the other day when your children walked in was suuuuuper cute... Love both of your quick-glances at each other (especially Mr YouMe&TheMovies with (often) hilarious puns and jokes) and the Mrs' straight-faced responses..) Thank you, and keep it up.. Do you take recommendations from the Comments?... (sorry if you've done any of these and I have yet to watch your reactions...) Feature Films: Limitless / Stranger Than Fiction / Before Sunrise / Fight Club / Heat / A Clockwork Orange / Jaws / Close Encounters of the Third Kind / Some Like It Hot / Sunset Boulevard / Paranorman / Attack The Block / Man On The Moon / Truman Show... And, some Anime Films: Perfect Blue / Paprika / The Boy and The Beast / Welcome To The Space Show / Summer Wars / Roujin-Z / Time of Eve / Gantz-0 Bit of an odd mix, but plenty of range and variety, if you want to give any a look... Cheers

The death from the uneven bars is an actual thing, though not that bloody. It's called a "scorpion" fall, and numerous people have been severely injured or died from it. It's considered the most dangerous landing in gymnastics.

The theory is that Molly didnt die in the bridge, but once Sam saved Peter which made them in the death List. Peter and Molly threat scene, if it happen the way Peter wanted to do. Molly was going to die. Since Sam killed Peter, avoing Molly death, so she was add in Death list. Basically Sam put Molly in the death list when he saved Peter in the first vision. If Sam didnt prevent the deaths in the bridge, later Peter wouldnt threat/killed Molly. Also the plane clash, is to show us, that when death corrects the death list, for some reason someone have a vision that creates a new list, that needs to be corrected.

Interesting facts about FINAL DESTINATION 5 (2011) On the coach ride a lorry carrying logs which caused the accident in Final Destination 2 (2003) can be seen. During the gymnastics practice scene, Canadian Olympian Brittany Rogers plays the gymnast on the balance beam while Candice is on the uneven bars. Sam works in the cafe Le Cafe Miro 81. In the cafe's sign, all the letters are capitalized, so reading backward would look like the number 180. Nathan Sear's death occurs at a local bar that is holding Roy's memorial. There he meets a coworker, John who reveals that Roy was meant to die any day following his actual death involving the hook, due to an illness he was unaware of, an aneurysm. As the employee walks away, Nathan learns the repercussions of this information before the flaming landing gear from Flight 180 crashes through the bar and crushes him, as his hand flies.

The date on that coupon the douche steal from that desk spoils the end but thankfully I missed it when I saw this in theaters and the twist wasn't ruined for me. :) At the moment, most gnarly death in the whole series is the suntan bed in the 3rd movie and in this movie is when Dennis gets covered with tar (?). You can see the skin on his fingers peel off as he falls off the bridge.
