Eula dislikes her family's practices and vanity, and left them behind to join essentially the police force of Mondstat. She talks about vengeance as a defense mechanism, because the people of Mondstat have a disdain towards her family name and treat her with the same prejudice. However, her vengeance usually means one upping the good deeds that other people have done for her by doing something even better for them. She'll also just help people because. It's super cute.

52:15 as a heads up the main difference for what qualifies as swords vs claymores in genshin is just whether the weapon is 1 handed (sword) or 2 handed(claymore), they can include blades as well as items that are similar in shape (i.e. there's a sword that's just a metal pipe and a sword that's an umbrella and there's claymores that are clubs as well as one that's just a giant fish). Aside from those, the other 3 weapon categories are polearm (staffs, lances, pikes, halberds,etc), bow (this one is straight forward it's just bows), and catalyst (characters who use these are basically mages or brawlers, catalyst weapons usually look like books, orbs, or ritual items i.e. Yae Miko's signature weapon is traditional shrine maiden warding bells)

Eula has a really interesting backstory that was actually very controversial prerelease. There is a really good fan-made video animatic that details what happened, if you would like to see more abt her story. I don't know if you caught this but Wanderer/Scara is a walking bohemian rhapsody reference! 1. at 49:04 (aka during his story teaser) he says he wishes he'd never been born at all, direct reference to the lyrics of the song 2. his collected miscellany video is titled "any way the wind blows", also a direct reference → also his vision is anemo, so... 3. his drip marketing was dropped on the same day that bohemian rhapsody was released, October 31st 4. the entire song actually correlates with his entire arc so I won't spoil so much, but some other lyrics also fit with his arc like "I see a little silhouetto of a man Scaramouche, Scaramouche, will you do the Fandango? Thunderbolt and lightning, very, very frightening me" which is like the most obvious example lol anyway this guy has so much lore its insane

Since it's basically impossible to meet Fischl in game right now since her first introduction is an Event quest back in 1.1 that's no longer available, I'll share a couple info about her. She is, in fact, NOT the Prinzessin der Verurteilung or royalty of any kind. Her real name is Amy and she's a massive, MASSIVE Chuuni (someone that has delusion about themselves being a legendary hero destined to save the world/being way too much into roleplaying) and constantly talks in a weird, formal way. Her raven, Oz, usually "translates" what she's saying to everyone in a more normal way. She's still a very powerful Vision weilder and an adventurer but definitely not the legendary hero she likes to roleplay.

Since you're an ffxiv fan I can categorize the boss fights in the game in a sense sort of like extremes and savages. Not from the difficulty but just to have a better analogy. There are weekly dungeons that you get loot from that you could say are the savages of the game then you have bosses you can just challenge again and again after a 2 min cooldown that i could say are akin to extremes. From one ffxiv fan to another, I'm so glad you're giving genshin a chance because if you liked the story of ffxiv, genshin also has a nice story that you can get attached to.

Ah I remembered back then before Ayato's design was revealed, we went bonkers wondering what he would look like because he had the same voice actor in Japanese and Chinese of the infamous Otto Apocalypse from Hoyo's other game. We were bamboozled he actually look like Ayaka's brother than Otto. Yet still felt sussed out because Otto was one of the antagonist, even for players who haven't played HI3.

Okay, people are silly. Rapiers and claymores are both types of swords. Genshin has two weapon types that would be considered swords, a one handed and two handed variety. But commenting that specific characters use rapiers vs other sword types is valid, and actually gives insight on character fighting styles and regional differences within the game. The idea that anyone would say something like "that's not X (which is a type of sword) it's a Y (which is a type of sword) is wild to me. Especially to someone who has never played the game to know the games weapon types.

You're not wrong with calling some swords rapier and stuff. It's just that the game divides the weapon class into 5 (since the elements already have a pretty complex system I assume the had to simplify the weapon types) Sword : include normal swords. Rapier, katanas etc Claymore : greatswords, clubs etc Polearm: spears, halberd,etc Bow: just bows 😂 Catalyst : any magic or any projectile type attacks such as klee throwing bombs and sucrose who throws alchemy/experiments

With Ganyu, it's not that she's a night person, it's that she's a workaholic with an awful sleep schedule. Ganyu is tied for my favorite character with Yoimiya. Basically... - She's vegan - She's a workaholic - Due to her history and long life, she's tied much of her personality and pride to her accomplishments and nation. - She's VERY long lived, though I can't remember if she's immortal (Adepti are basically Liyue versions of demigods). - At noon everyday, she takes a nap wherever she might be located, it doesn't matter where. If I remember right, it's gotten her into trouble a couple times. - Her only hobbies are maintaining the flowerbed outside the government building, feeding and naming the stray dogs of Liyue Harbor, and... sleeping. - And, last but certainly not least, during the Archon War, she notoriously killed a monster with her fat ass. It's not even a joke. A monster attempted to eat her, but her hips were too wide, which caused the monster to suffocate. It's caused her to be MEGA self conscious about her weight, but made every single player jealous. What a glorious way to die.
