This is without a doubt one of MY FAVORITE MOMENTS I've ever had in a video game... I can't even believe they managed to top the Titan fight, I'm just in awe. Also, to everyone watching this playthrough, seriously thank y'all so dang much for all the support! In this one arc, we hit 1000 Subs on Twitch, sub trains constantly, so many people coming in from seeing these vids on KZfaq! I'm genuinely so grateful guys. I don't deserve all this support tbh! 😭❤ Really hope you enjoy this one!

I 100% agree im a bit older then you but the Sonic reference continues I thought of it more of the Doomsday Zone at the end of Sonic and Knuckles I was litrally crying with excitement with the music and the spectacle of it all its my fave moment ever in gaming history

Yo dude! I feel ya. Depending on the type of person you are this game will insanely vibe with you. Its the same for me. This is unquestionably the best videogame I've ever played. Its such a strong story with extremely powerful scenes and godlike dialogue. Oh and since you mentionned your age I'm 45 years old and I've been playing videogames for 36 years now. FF XVI is what I hope will set the tone for action rpgs going foward. Its phenomenal.

You can look up the similarity with the realm reborn trailer of FF14 where bahamut was yeeted by Louisoix, you will find the exact same moment when you defeat 16's bahamut at 2:51:52

This is EXACTLY how I felt about this fight. I’ve been playing games since I was a kid. I’m 40 now. During the fight I found myself telling myself “this is the best thing I’ve ever played”. This entire encounter was so amazing.

Late 30’s here. I was screaming at the tv when Clive and Torgal double teamed Benedikta. The Bahamut/Ifrit Risen fight had me out of my seat. I’m still not over it a month later lol

They somehow managed to make me feel the way I did as a kid watching goku fight frieza in a video game. Best boss fight I have ever played in any game ever. This is art. Video games are the greatest gesamtkunstwerks ever. I love video games. I love this bahamut fight from beginning to end. The music. The story. The acting. The animation. The graphics. The choreography. The payoff. Clive finally being able to effortlessly transform into Ifrit in order to protect his brother. Clive and Joshua HUGGING had me in TEARS. UGH. There is so much that makes this entire section the best in video game history for me.

The flowers are the symbol of the empire and, therefore, significant. The moment when Anabella steps on the flower as she leaves is incredibly symbolic as she is a part of what brings the empire to ruin. Also I'm SO incredibly glad you got the teams vision. They understood that their audience for this game would be those that grew up with those old bad ass games and they wanted to give us a game that spoke to those older times with a mature aspect that reflects our age now. The Heavensward team and Yoshi-P have made a true masterpiece.

@@SatchelStreams The _one_ thing I did miss was Joshua’s special move at the end of a full combo, but that leaves it as a reward to discover for actual players who manage to pull it off, so I’m not complaining😇 Excellent work overall; thank you for a wonderful way to revisit a high-point in recent gaming history with a rare someone who both recognized it for what it was and found a way to articulate that in the course of their first experiencing it!

Your debreif post fight was everything I felt. This game pulls me back to what it was like to play video games in the 90s and 00s. It captures that pure fun that you get from those wackier and totally original games, but also has all the maturity I want as an adult. This game will be one that we talk about for decades.

I love how you sat and gave a minute at the end to listen to the new hideaway music. As amazing as the entire ost is in this game that specific track stuck with me as well. It perfectly captures the mood at that moment, a moment after that epic sequence where you can sit and collect your thoughts and you can't help but think Cid was right when he said that things will get worse before they get better.

Actually just straight up my new fav boss in ANYTHING, it just had everything, the perfect build up, the mystery, the chaos and confusion, the emotion of a reunion, the amazement of then fighting together and playing as joshua, incredible music and visuals, and to top it all off they really tried baiting you into thinking it was over, but then we get a new form to play as and go to fucking SPACE, literally the stuff outta dreams, it might take the next real time FF or similar type game with a budget like this to ever top this for me Absolutely loving this playthrough tho, definitely has been the most fun to watch by far 🙂

I'm pretty old and this is definitely one of the greatest boss encounters of all time, maybe *the* best because of how it ties in with the story. Although Ifrit vs Phoenix is also up there as being one of the most epic cinematic gaming sequences in all gaming.

This Bossfight, I felt like Goku transforming into a super Saiyan god and battling lord Beerus. Low-key Final Fantasy 16 eikon fights are a really clever, subtle best dragon ball Z game ever.

This was so fun to watch. I haven't really watched game reactions but I was craving rewatching the Bahamut scene after listening to the FF16 scores and came across your video. SO fun. Honestly everyone talks about the Bahamut fight but everyone (including me) kinda forgets about all the peak plot that happens before, during and right after the long fight sequence. INSANE. I'll never forget how hyped I was during all of this! The tears at the reunion! The screaming at the TV! The screaming in confusion from not knowing what was happening (lol)! The relief! Even the disgust at Barnabas x Ultima LOOOOL. Bravo! I also loved your attention to the music even while playing. Got to re-experience all that again watching your vid Will never not be angry about Ben Starr not winning an award for his acting, or for the game not winning for the music

Jc ultima is just able to shapeshift don’t overthink it he turns into people that are close to you so he can manipulate you better all he did was shapeshift into barnabas mom he’s not really his mom. Also oliver the son was a puppet of ultima to get into dions head and make him lose control over bahamut. It is not explained but yellow eyes mean out of control eikon blue eyes mean the dominant is in control.
