Every FF old school fan knows this score of music. It’s classic and I love love hearing it done so well in this new game. So perfect and well done.

7:10 is the leimotiff used in Eureka, the Forbidden Land, a zone in Final Fantasy XIV; but as both games were being worked on simultaneously, it's hard to say which one influenced the other. Per Soken himself, it is coincidental. ;)

About the rythm, the fact is : FF7 take a 4 beats, FF8 take a 5 beats and FF16 alternate 5 and 6 beats in the intro before to stabilize in 6 when the melodies arrives ^^

yes, the wording is right 'This is Final Fantasy' There are FF that aren't live up to the hype, but this franchise never failed at music, it's always graceful. And FF16 music is, i would say it goes to my top 5 game ost of all time.

This track is by far my favorite in the game, it starts off by sounding like Final Fantasy VIII don’t be afraid theme and then sounds like it transitions into a mix of Final Fantasy 14 and 15 battle themes

I've never really played any Final Fantasy games but I always love it when songs pay ohmage to previous titles. It always ends up making the track feel more loved and passionate.

If you want to look at more FF16, check out the greatwood stage music. Not only is it magical, ingame they do this wonderful thing where the exploration and combat music switch seamlessly, continuing the melody.

First time I heard the music for this game from the early trailers, I instantly knew that THIS IS FINAL FANTASY. Great omage to the FF 7/8/9 era of battle themes.

In the beginning of the video there's a feeling of hopelessness, but there comes a point quite quickly, where Brandon gets up and portrays having had ENOUGH of what's happening in the news, and heads straight into proclaiming VICTORY. This piece is so good! I knew immediately from the demo this was an instant hit! I never skip a battle just to hear it even on the chocobo. As a fan since 1997 starting out with FF7, this definitely has its element in sound, just like 8, 9, and a pinch of 15 is what I hear 🔥🔥🔥

Amazing video as always Davi! This reference to FF VIII sound really amazing now in XVI! Another incredible call back to older classic FF was made in FF XV where Omega second phase theme is clearly FF V battle theme but fully orchestrated and combinig Lena's theme too from FF V and it was quite a surprise! Maybe not for a video but you should check out! It's one of the best battle themes in the series!

I hope you give FF14 a chance one day too. It's easily the best story I ever experienced in gaming, along with one of the best OSTs ever, and it's made by the same team that made FF16.

The intro you're talking about being similar to other FF games' battle themes shares the most with FF5, FF8 and FF10. The most similarity being with FF8. Besides instruments used, there's not a whole lot it shares with other entries' main battle themes.

Davi, when you get the chance you gotta play the demo at least. The game is great, I’m about halfway through and I’m loving it. There are a lot of all new tracks and tracks that have strong callbacks to previous soundtracks. It is great! I’ll be honest, I wasn’t really looking forward to this Final Fantasy. It wasn’t until the demo came out where it REALLY took me and I’ve been hooked ever since.

I had the exact same feeling... This sounds exactly like final fantasy battle music (I have played all over the years, but I can't say exactly which FF game is from.) This was my first full non Nobuo Uematsu FF game. It was amazing. The entire Soken Score is truly amazing. Battle theme is always welcome. Unlike "gale" for evey damn battle in chrono cross 😂😂

Recommendation for music, one of the dead by daylight killer chase music themes, specifically Demogorgon or nemesis. Every other one is good too. The music producers try to make the theme or song fit the character and they do it perfectly, try to listen to one of the good themes.
