@@WillF1980 I have heard others say "what" instead of "who". I don't know why that annoyed people at all. Good grief the guy knew the answers. I thought he seemed like a very likable guy. I enjoyed watching him.

Hi 👋 Matt really was distinctive and unique from the different champs on the show. You just couldn’t put a finger on if he knew the answer to the clue or not. He just had that ornate ability to pull the correct response out of himself no matter what it took. And that’s what separated him from the rest. He never gave in to the ideal of I’m out of it or this is it or the end of the road. Even on his last appearance he did what anyone else would do he went for it. He only hit on one daily dbl, it was a wrong response but that’s the way it goes. He did what he did for his other days as champ. Didn’t workout yet he played his gm. What a Run. 👏

@@rileyhun3710 Jason Z. wasn't as particularly mindblowing or outstanding compared to his competition as James Holzhauer and Matt Amodio (at least currently, anyway) are/were though.

@@NickTheEnlightened No but I would argue a 24K average coryat is still INSANELY good and way above most superchamps. I think the problem was going up against Jennifer Quail and Ryan Bilger. That was one super competitive and stacked ToC.

I agree, James and matt are like freaks of nature. Its almost unbelievable to watch. Jason was good and did have a decent coryat, but he didnt have that presence about him that james, matt, and ken had. Its shocking to ever see them lose. Jason i wasnt as shocked to see lose.

I have a hard time believing that he lost that. He's too smart not to know it that's why I feel like something is really fishy there that's my opinion.

Really did well Matt I thought you would take this way over. I had the feeling it wasn't the money but the time you put into it. You only needed one more win to tie and another to make it next to impossible. Nonetheless you did super great and made a bunch of us stop what we were doing just to watch you. It was a stunningly bad answer, and I was wondering if he deliberately missed it. It appears that he started to write "Czechoslovakia" but then decided that was too close to a legitimate answer, so he crossed that off and wrote "Poland" instead. I would guess that on any other day, Matt could tell us that the Germany/Austria union occurred in 1938 and became known as the "Anschluss". Furthermore I have to think that Matt would know that neither the Alps nor the Danube come close to Poland (either pre or post WWII boundaries). Additionally, I'm thinking that Matt could easily tell us that post WWI Poland was reconstituted from parts of Russia, Austria-Hungary, and Germany, and I'd even expect him to tell us that the Molotov-Ribbentrop pact divided Poland between Russia and Germany in 1939. So why the heck did he answer that way? Did he figure he was going to lose anyway, and just gave us an answer that everyone would clearly know that he knew was wrong? Or did he choke under the pressure/just have a bad day? Seeing him miss that question was like seeing an expert golfer miss a less than 1 foot putt. It "could" happen but it's very strange.

Good point. In last nights episode btw the first round and dbl jeopardy of the 3 daily doubles he only hit on 1 and if I remember correctly his response was wrong. I could tell from the start that that might be his last day as returning champ. But that’s how it goes on jeopardy. At least his winnings will help him with paying off his expenses for post grad school. Congratulations Matt. 👍

@@bmorecare4ul Idk about that. You do have a good point regarding who is the best of all time. As For Me I’m indifferent as to who is. Matt Amodio is that kind of champ that was inconspicuous as to what he knows and is very well versed in as to his intelligence and knowledge. With him you really can’t put a finger on him as to how to sneak up on his game and really challenge him on a given day. He really is deceptive but in a good way, which is totally opposite of James. From the beginning you know exactly who you’re up against and if you’re not reeled in ready to go ur done and fast. James is the second bcuz he has that unique ability to step on the gas which is what I like about his gm. See ya. Beep beep. 🏎

@@patrickperry8951 Considering they were both very close in money, I think Matt pretty much expected them to wager all of it or nearly all of it. Hence why he made a small wager; he knew his only chance to win would've been if both of them had it incorrect.

Jessica should have only bet about $6,000, to cover a double up from Matt. Matt himself should have bet $0, knowing that his only hope to win would be if both of the leaders got it wrong, in which case it is likely he would also get it wrong. The winner was the only one who made the correct bet, to guard against a double up from 2nd place.

Yeah im very disappointed and probably wont sleep for a couple nights lol, but i have to give matt a ton of credit. What he did wasnt easy at all, and took tons of stamina as well. Amazing run, and i doubt we will see anything like that again for quite some time.

The female actually had the highest coryat, so she actually played the best overall. They both played good though. Matt obviously had an off day, so much luck in one game of jeopardy. He was nervous and couldnt get his timing down and didnt find any daily doubles. Sucks, because he was fun to watch. Overall i dont think his opponents were too good in terms of like really high level jeopardy play. I have a feeling the guy wont win very many games, but i hope im wrong, and hes a really good player thats wins a lot of games.

I don't like the new champion at all. He acts arrogant in his demeanor & it makes it unpleasant for me to watch him play.

I thought the double jeopardy round was strange, and final jeopardy really made something look either off or set-up.

@@Southernguy39 I know, you have to be crazy to actually believe that. People were saying the same thing about james. Its so unrealistic and makes no logical sense at all. Matt just lost, he was tired and couldnt get the buzzer timing down, and found no daily doubles. Why would he want to stop winning an average of 40k a day lol? Their is so much luck in one game of jeopardy he could have lost a long time ago. He was lucky to make it as far as he did. The guy is amazing and one of the best to ever play, but still its easy to lose. He threw it is ridiculous and not logical at all.

Not catching any of the DD really did him in.

I think he did try, as evidenced by the several buzz-ins he got towards the end of the game. It just wasn't his day unfortunately.

It sucks. He was nervous as all hell, you could see it right on his face. Not catching any final jeopardys and losing his timing was all it took. Suck, this game wont last long. Ill watch again when the next super champion comes around.
