With liver and kidneys (not so bad, once you get past the farmyard "hints" lol), I found them to be much more palatable if I had fasted the whole day, the day before, and I was feeling pretty hungry...

I don’t understand coffee is a plant equals bad for us. Spices a plant equals not bad? I’m confused on the logic.

Different people have various opinions. I tolerated coffee up until age 60 and can't do well with spices (forever!) but it's all very individual. To be OPTIMAL skipping all plants is probably best but some folk enjoy the addition of either herbs, spices or coffee occasionally
