⁠@@luken4164of the 4 I’d say that the only Nurgle wouldn’t condone the slaughter of the mortals in this instance, and MAYBE Khorn (and that’s a planet sized maybe). Nurgle rewards loyalty, I mean yeah many of his….. children may not like each other but he still has the whole family thing going. As for Khorn, well he generally doesn’t care where the blood and skulls come from but he is also an advocate for honor sooooo…..

But its all good and i agree with you regarding the lamenter point of view, thats all it took for them to turn traitor? The lamenters would laugh at this before they end up in the warm without a semi fuction gellar field.

I don’t think you realize: he’s talking about himself. HE is the weakness. HE is the one beyond redemption. The poor soldiers that fought as hard as he did, minus the transhuman gifts, are now the new victims of his wretchedness.

Bruh, 80% mortality rate for both the 3rd and 4th company's and their heavy armor. Among those lost only 30% of Geneseed was recovered?!!?! Dude wasn't kidding when he said "the most techinical form of victory" that's like the ultimate phyric victory 😅

On one hand one can sort of sympathize, but you really see how immature space marines really are with this excerpt. It's easy to compare space marines to child soldiers, they don't have much going on in terms of empathy towards others because all they've known in life is a life of infinite strife. From the point they were children, to the induction process to becoming a space marine process to their lives on the battlefield, there isn't anytime to seemingly deveolp into a person beyond just killing, so they never learn what it takes for the average PDF to survive outside of becoming a PDF. They've already survived the surgery process of becoming a Space marine, and they're never considerate of where their resources come from or what's involved, as they've already had the keys handed to them before they even needed to learn how to drive, so to speak. They lack any real human experience to see what a gift their existence is in comparison to the average imperial citizen.

I actually couldn’t stop thinking about this video after listening. I think the sheer descriptive horror of what combat against Chaos is really like was haunting. No noble duels and famous last stands. Just gore, carnage and horror. Fantastic story and narration!

A brotherhood of a Chapter is a amazing thing to see and it is this brotherhood that truly unites the Chapter more-so then the Gene-seed, but it is also this brotherhood that would lead many of those Angels to the fall of disgrace and ruin, and many within the Imperium may not be worth saving that does not mean that the Space Marines should abandon their own duty to defend mankind.

Beautiful and heartbreaking story. I would have felt the same way and but not sure if i would have actes the same way. There is something about being superior to most that is so dangerous because leads to the void and shrinks everything else. Being a space marine is so... thankless sometimes. Beautiful story again. I wonder what the other marines did when he did that. Did they join in and begin emptying bolts into the guard? Or did they jump him and force him down yelling at him about madness that might've afflicted him. Either one is fitting. Excellent work Vox!
