@@MatthewSimm No problem brother! 😃🍺🍺 Well the snow is melting here so hopefully soon but we can get a snow storm here into the first couple weeks of April although unlikely. Usually March it gets nice out. SO hopefully soon. I'm really hoping I can get that extra 18mph and make 150 this year.

Do it dude, its great! Either off or on road. Foams don't last long when doing speed runs so try and get as smooth of a road as possible (not slick though like a skate park haha) just ease the throttle and try not to slide and the foams will be fine, I get mine from Campbell Town hobbies in aus

@@MatthewSimm i want to aim for about 50mph that seems fair for it maybe 60mph ...sorry just seen he used a reedy sonic 3.5t not 4.5 lol and i was not there for his run i aint sure if he used his 100c lipo or his 50c one but i bet it was his 100c i am going over to see him as just came out of lockdown so when this rain goes and wind goes from the uk we both be out so i can see if he was telling the truth (his speedo mite been clocked a couple mph before run haha (runs a old skyrc one)

Mate well done brother you so have to keep going maybe chassis needs more weight or maybe some air flow vents into to vechile to create more downforce at speed like formula one cars and nascars use maybe heavier rims anything to keep it on the ground while it builds momentum keep going bro 👊👍💯

Sorry for the late reply dude, im not sure if you have it worked out yet but if not, id recommend something with 40c or over, as for the mah, the more mah the longer it will last :) i like using zeee lipos for everyday use, im sure you could pick up some cheap 2200mah zeee lipos to run in your 124019

How you doing a 4.5t v10? It's like max recommended is 2s lipo? Does that matter?

Thats a great question. A motor is rated by how many vaults in can handle over a period of time. When doing a speed run, I'm putting a lot of volts in a short time and it gets very hot, if I were to do more than one or two passes, I'd kill the motor from over heating. The 2s rating is for continuous use. Also a motor has a certain rpm, go to far past that, you run the risk of killing in. So basically, if you're going to over power a motor, be sure you know what you're doing and keeping an eye on temps etc.. I hope that helps 😀

Hey dude, a traxxas system would be fast but not as fast as this, the traxxas system is geared toward more torque for better acceleration 😀

I’m still waiting I ordered the 124018 it’s my first RC. Been watching videos I’m ready to tinker with it. Hopefully it’ll be here tomorrow it should have been here Wednesday. I also ordered the arrma granite 2wd for my daughters 8th birthday next week. It’s here already. But then I had to order myself the 4wd version. That should be here this week too.

Sounds like you have an awesome time ahead! One tip (you probably know) they use tones of locktite on the motor screws, so be sure to really heat it up before trying to remove it, the screws are soft and will round out 😀 same as the drive shaft ends. This is for the wltoys

@@MatthewSimm thanks but I think I’m just gonna grease the diffs maybe let a little oil out of the shocks and put some off-road tires on it. Oh yeah I ordered those too after the wltoys and an extra battery for my daughters truck those are here too. The wait is killing me. I can’t even play with the car that’s here because it’s a birthday present. Ugh

@@stateofemergency4966 just be sure to degrease and clean the body before painting, if you have never painted an rc body, I highly recommend finding a video on how to do it, I don't have one personally but there are some good videos out there 😀
