DO they give us the option for a double or triple wide stripe pattern on the app? since apparently Ginja takes my suggestions seriously for vids - I know this video is sponsored, can you do a video about what your requirements are when doing a sponsored video? If someone gets a sponsored spot with ya, are you allowed to be negative at all about the product? A vid that covers those topics would be great especially with the amount of sponsored stuff you are doing these days!

I enjoy mowing my lawn so chances are I will never get one. I have a neighbor down the street who has one. Every time I see the thing out I have to stop and watch it so it’s thing. They don’t really seem to save much work as a person still has to run the string trimmer and edger.

Have you had a chance to review any Mamotion products, in particular the Luba 2 line? They are more expensive than the Orion X7s. Not sure which one to buy.

I bought the Mammotion Luba 2 5000h and have used it for a couple weeks. Mow between 3 1/2 - 4 inches. Have it set on multi point turn to prevent ruts. The battery run time is great. The charge time is great. I am not happy with the cut. It's heavy so the wheels flatten the grass down and then the tall grass pops up later. Even messing with different patterns doesn't help. It doesn't always do a multi point turn so I do have ruts. Thankfully I bought it off Amazon so I was able to return it for free. That's my suggestion if you feel the urge to try it out yourself. I'm going to try and find some more research on this Orion x7 and go from there

I am yet to see a robot mower in my neighborhood, though now I'll try to take a closer look when I walk the neighborhood. Though for the non-lawn enthusiast, I could see this saving money over a lawn service in just a couple of years. Assume you still have to trim and blow areas, it can't cut that close.

With all due respect, Ginja, I never have wild parties with wine glasses left in my lawn. What about realistic stuff in the lawn like branches, twigs, dog, poop, soccer balls, golf balls, etc.

its a size issue. anything below 3" it has a hard time detecting.

A robot mower that doesn't make your yard look like it was mowed by Stevie Wonder!! 😎 I'm also impressed by how your chill your bulldog is with it. 😂 I have one bulldog who would attack it (because she's crazy), another who would run from it (because he's a big chicken), and a third bulldog who wouldn't even know it existed (because she is a mama's girl and only leaves my wife's side when she has no choice). That said, does it mulch, or do you have to go over your yard with a blower after it's done?

Bulldogs or no dogs! They're so much fun. This mower should be run 4 to 7 days a week. They're meant to take small amounts of the top. A true mulcher

I think the intro video from Sunseeker says to stay away from the border by 15cm(6"). have you tried to push that and just chose right up to the border? I don't want to much string trimming after the robot mower is done so getting right up to the border would help

yes they do and i recommend it that way as well. what i can tell you is you can always edit or re do an area if you're having border issues. it will also depend on slope, areas with shade etc. but i was able to make adjustments along the way to help bridge the gaps.

@@pestandlawnginjaI don’t get why companies want people to leave like a 6 inch spacing… I might as well mow my lawn. I have close to 9,000sq ft. So that’s a lot of work “picking up” after my mower. Am I being too picky… I don’t want to wait until 2027 when they figure how to trim all the way to my cement curbing….. ? ?

Do you notice any difference in sound level between the Orion X7 and the Segway i series? some other videos it (Orion X7) has a whine in the wheels but it could have just been the recording

Is it true that no go zones are only rectangular and have to be dropped on the map with no border tracing by the mower? If true that is bad

this product hasn't been officially released. not trying to dodge the question but the issue with the question is the software isn't out of beta. they're making changes daily. but i have noticed the adaptive mapping has mapped it out going around trees as circles and not rectangles. hope that helps.

Thinking about pulling the trigger on one of these. I feel like I've waited for a unit with no guide wire and 4 inch cut, and it's time. You don't see any really big technological advances coming on the horizon to keep me from buying now?

I'm in the same boat. Looking at Luba 10000H, Husky 450XH EPOS, and the Sunseeker X7 Pro to cut my 2 acre lawn with many no-go zones.... The Husky only has one three blade cutting disk and only 2 wheel drive, but the company has been around and the robot is relatively light. The Luba has two cutting disks, 4 wheel drive, seems to get closer to boundaries, but turning is a bit awkward, it can rut the grass, it's 44 pounds (heavy), and the company is somewhat new. The Sunseeker has two cutting disks, it's light, it has three wheel drive, it turns well,.... I haven't found the downside yet. But, just started looking into them. So far I'm leaning Sunseeker. Will do more research. What do you guys think?

@@keithmatheis809 that's where I'm leaning as well. VSLAM is older technology in the robot vacuum world. LIDAR really is the future for this tech. The Dreame mower uses it, but it's a pretty small cut width on it and it costs a bit more.

So, there are no downsides to this robot mower? I don't recall if you brought that up, all reviewers so far just say "I love it", basically. There has to be some downsides, but since yours is a paid promotion for the mower I'm sure you don't want to slam the company.

This video is more of what the machine is capable of. I'll ha e an official review but initial downside is it's a gps based antenna system. You can look at that as an upside as well but traditionally they don't do well in heavily shaded areas.
