I used to use a reel mower. It worked fantastically, but eventually back issues meant getting something that was powered. I can't believe people pay so much for cutting grass though. This is insane. I've never paid more than $200 for a mower. Cool tech though.

The awkward part of using a compost spreader like the Landzie is that there is always cruft leftover in the bin, stuff that is too chunky to fit through the holes. I need to hold the door open while I dump the contents onto the mulch pile by turning the device upside down, with the handle trying to get in my way.

Seems weird to measure multiple micronutrients and then do nothing to fix the deficiencies.
@pestandlawnginja13 сағат бұрын
To fix is a bit interesting. Very rarely will you fix the soil. What were looking for is what to feed the plant . We look at the deficiencies to understand the baseline measures of what the plant needs not what we need to do to fix the soil.

I am happy to see a video on this new product that is not the glowing marketing material. I pinged Oasa several questions on the Kickstarter page, but I'll share them here if you have any thoughts and can share comments. I live in Florida. It is HOT here. We have Saint Augustine grass, which is much thicker and broader than the grass you have in the video. Can the R1 handle high temperatures and "tropical" sun? Can the R1 handle thick St. Augustine grass? St. Augustine grass grows up, meaning that where it may have been installed nearly flush with sidewalks or driveways, as it matures over the years, it will have a root bed above the concrete creating a "step", can the R1 accommodate that and not get "stuck"? Without a GPS, how does the R1 auto-map the perimeter with no fences to delineate the separation between properties? Lastly, what kind of end-user maintenance program is needed, and cost of parts, such as the reel, wheels, and tires?

It would be nice in all of your mower reviews to actually see it cut. Your grass always looks fresh mowed
@genephipps642114 сағат бұрын
These mowers are designed to cut daily so the yard is essentially always "fresh mowed".

So, there are no downsides to this robot mower? I don't recall if you brought that up, all reviewers so far just say "I love it", basically. There has to be some downsides, but since yours is a paid promotion for the mower I'm sure you don't want to slam the company.
@pestandlawnginja13 сағат бұрын
This video is more of what the machine is capable of. I'll ha e an official review but initial downside is it's a gps based antenna system. You can look at that as an upside as well but traditionally they don't do well in heavily shaded areas.

Every single robot mower review shows it mowing already low grass. Wonder why that is...
@pestandlawnginjaКүн бұрын
So I know I've mentioned it. A number of times on several different videos, but these style mowers are not bushwhackers. They're meant to take a tiny little bit off the top. Which is why you will find it this way in the video? They are maintenance mowers, not meant to take more than a half inch off the top at any given time
@imhooks18 сағат бұрын
@@pestandlawnginja That makes sense. Thanks. So it's reasonable to assume robot owners have to have a second lawnmower in the cases of lengthy rain that leaves the robot out of service and the grass grows much higher than usual?

Like one guy said with ladybugs. I told my family that if they find a lady bug, they need to bring it to the tree upfront of the house with the aphids on it. I am a pest applicator in Utah County, and I preferred to use nature for this method because i wanted to see how well it worked. My results were the ladybugs and their larvae ate alot. Plus, Utah Rose Society mentioned aphids were out of control this year, and that is what I have been seen on my days out spraying. Ladybugs work great if you have them but make sure the ants are killed off because they do protect aphids. And another great vid.

Oh I found my sprinkler was hitting the leaves of the tree. So it was weakening the tree. The sprinkler was hitting the tree because the ground was settling and it was leaning back. Fixed it.

Best robot mower I've seen so far. One question you mentioned it mows 18,000 sq.ft. or 3 hours per charge, It also will put it's self on charge if the battery becomes low. If it's in the middle of mowing the lawn, the battery becomes low and it parks it's self for a charge. Will it remember where it left off and pick back up at the same place when charging is finished? Same thing for rain sensor, will it pack back up where it left off after the rain stops.
@pestandlawnginja2 күн бұрын
Yes it does indeed remember where it left off and will resume to finish where it left off after it charges / rain delay
