Thank you very much I was planning on buying a double DIN for my Vic.... my wife asked me why I'm so obsessed with the Crown Victoria and all I could tell her is..." when you drive a Crown Victoria it just makes you better than everybody else".....sent from my couch.

Since he doesn't mention it in the video, I figure I'll let yall know to save you a few moments of frustration: when you are removing your factory radio and you have those two hoop pins inserted into the face, you have to spread them AWAY from the radio to move the brackets on the sides of the radio. So, the left hoop you must pry to the left and the right one you must pry to the right.

The "antenna " wire is to trigger a POWER ANTENNA so that it extends when you switch to AM/FM. The "remote" wire is used to turn on an external AMP like an aftermarket subwoofer.
@JamesMorningstar9 ай бұрын
Thank you for saying that. The whole video was really good at first, explaining everything in a productive way, then went completely down hill when he got to the part about the antenna. It was also very funny that he thought the antenna wire could start a fire or something if it touched the radio metal, when there is no power coming from an antenna. In fact, many radio unit designers count on the antenna shield to act as a nice solid ground. There is no reason not to plug in the antenna, but plenty of good reasons not to forget plugging it in.

@Nethter definitely wire the antenna wire. This guy half-a**ed this install. he didn't even unhook the battery under the hood, which is the proper way of doing any electrical install to make sure you do not fry your new headunit or anything in the vehicle. Smh just because he isn't going to listen to the radio doesn't mean the person he sells that Crown Vic to doesn't want to listen to the radio. Hard to respect him when he posts a video of a halfa** install using junk from auto zone. A Dual brand headunit, really?! Smh

@@itdoesntmatterwhatyourname6128 YES !! You are correct to hook up the Antenna Wire. The rest of your comment is totally un-called for. Mr. Random has many Install Videos here, and he also has MANY HELPFUL VOTES, too; with many thank-yous. Does Mr. Random ever make mistakes !?? YES, he does, which tells us that he is HUMAN, just like you and me. There's no need for your being disrespectful.
