The wait will be worth it though :) Personally we don't mind waiting for a good game to come out, rather that than releasing a buggy mess or an uncertain early access period that breaks the foundation every update hah. Hopefully more devs join in and help get it done faster, but at least a few people are giving it a good go :)

@@ScarabicEnterprises I get it, Tarkov has its problems, but nothing will ever come close to it. It’s hardcore, brutal, grittiness is the reason getting anything done is so rewarding.

@@ThrobRoss We appreciate your view on the matter. Honestly, Escape From Tarkov definitely has its merits, there's no doubt there. They have had enough time cooking in the oven that has gotten to the point where it has attracted a wider audience. That is commendable. A long time in early access though, but so was Baldur's Gate 3 (GOTY material). Unfortunately the management and a large portion of the player-base has been its' downfall. Some people believe Tarkov is dead (despite it not being at full release), others believe it is the greatest game ever made. The game is and continues to be divisive, in both the communities around it and in the gameplay features/changes. It has Game balance issues, cheaters, graphical errors, exploits, min-maxing, etc. But despite that, DAMN is it appealing to play though. If the developers introduced a Single Player mode with progression (or stopped attacking SPT and people who cover it) we would throw our money at EFT in a heartbeat. As it stands, the foundation is there for a fantastic experience for PvP, SP, Co-op PvE AND PvPvE gameplay modes and there is room for all of the above with the groundwork already done. The line between pride and prejudice is what keeps us from committing to the game. For now Breakout Arena on mobile & tablet is FREE and offers the same rush (in our opinion) and Project Quarantine and games like it are making headway and offering an alternative. We disagree with you on only one thing here... we believe some games will surpass Tarkov in every way (over time). Purely due to the fact that as technology and game development progresses, so do the devs and games coming from them. Tarkov is a game people are already inspired by and perhaps they can take it to new heights... OR you are right, and on full release of EFT, it will blow everyone else out of the water. Time will tell. Either way, we hope for the success of all of the games in the Extraction Shooter genre. Thank you again for your response. I do want other similar games and have tried all the ones that I have found, but I always find myself diving back into the dark pit of despair that is tarkov. Definitely not for everyone and I still get nervous loading into raids, but that roller coaster of emotions is unmatched from any other game of a similar type. I have even dabbled with SPT, but without the element of surprise that other players bring, it got repetitive pretty quickly. Somehow, as flawed as it is, I have never been so hooked into any other game like this. It has ruined my entire library of games for me😂. Hopefully they get a genuine competitor, but I fear a casual approach will take away what makes tarkov so damn great.

@@ThrobRoss We like you. You are proof that the tarkov community isn't full to the brim with toxic players. You just love the game despite its flaws and that makes you a true gamer. We hope to meet a lot more people like you in the PvPvE community. Open minded and open for discussion. You're a shining example of what a Tarkov player should strive to be and we appreciate your conversation. If they added smarter AI to npcs that replaced players, the challenge would still be there. Call of Duty Ghosts had AI players that acted like actual gamers, they used data from matches to get their AI to feel real and it really worked. Personally I was fully immersed and I couldn't tell the difference between bot and person when bouncing between PvE and PvP. The only real difference was I was getting sniped more frequently in PvP, CQC was same same. COD is not an extraction shooter though, I know that it is very different, but from a game design point of view, the principles are the same. Make AI investigate, pie angles and act cautiously. Don't just let them react to a rock being thrown and say "must have been the wind". Ghosts of Tabor are following in the footsteps of Tarkov and think that single player mode is "easy mode" this is an assumption and judgment. If they just make their bots harder (not aimbot hard, but more lifelike) The foundation is there. If modders can make SPT, the devs can make money introducing SP and perhaps do it better? The more people playing SP, the more people able to consider (and have access to) PvP. With a price tag as steep as Tarkov and ghosts of Tabor (both in early access) it can put off a lot of people. At least on steam you can play for 2 hours and get a refund, if it isn't for you. I look forward to when Tarkov is on steam so I can actually give it a proper go. I have a rant video about this exact thing on the channel, where players in the steam and discord communities were being attacked and abused anytime they brought up single player. It is a sad day when gamers turn on gamers. Can't we all have fun? Or will gatekeeping and elitism continue to shut down anyone that wishes for change? Honestly, the growing community of people who want IN to the extraction looter shooter genre in SP and co-op PvE have been shut down for too long. That is why we support games like Project Quarantine with devs and a community that open the gates. We give them a platform to do so too. We wish for the success of the genre, it kicks ass, but shouldn't be restricted to a special club. Stay a legend. We want our comment section to be more like this in the future. Thank you. - Scarab

No probs Chip! Game looks like it has potential, we can't wait to see where it goes. Maybe a few urban environments with sprawling buildings n such. Not enough games with an environment like Tom Clancy's The Division, imagine an extraction shooter in a world like that!

This game is super fun, got it today and did the default load out like 5 for money then went in with a pistol and got some m4s. I used the money to make some kitted out weapons and a nice loadout

The free demo available on Steam, unsure of which version at the time of recording. Recorded on the 5th August 2023. We don't know if the free stream version has been updated since then, but we know there are other versions available on their Patreon. Sorry, wish we could be of more help.

As long as the bots aren't like DMZ then I'm good lol. The last thing I need are tanky bots that are dumb as a box of rocks but do insane damage with pinpoint accuracy to (poorly) compensate and then have said bots have litteral wall hacks. Nothing like making my way through a building only to get lit up by a bot in an adjacent room on the floor above me 😑

I know what you mean. There needs to be a good balance between the dim-witted bots of stealth games and the overpowered aimbots of action games. If Tom Clancy's The Division series had a more tactical focus and removed the Ubisoft patented bullet sponge style gameplay, we'd have a proper urban combat game. One day, maybe, a game like this will reign supreme... for now, indie games like Project Quarantine are our only hope. Low time to kill is essential for tactical shooters and adds more to an extraction shooter, cheating bots take away from the overall experience.

If you're a Tarkov player and haven't played Stalker (if you don't want to play the old Stalkers, might I recommend Stalker Anomaly, as it's free to play and it can be customized to your liking) you're doing yourself a diservice. Not going to lie, this game is great! However, if you want something to tie you over, play some Anom. trust.

We're not really Tarkov players. We have played S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Anomaly, it is very fun. Very difficult to get anywhere but once you understand the systems it is fantastic. Been looking into S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Gamma lately. Personally I (Scarab) am not really interested in the fantasy element of the Stalker/Metro series (creatures, anomalies n such) I like the world and mechanics of the games, but I like things to be a bit more realistic in theme. That being said, when I am in the mood, Stalker or Metro is great. Though I see them more as Horror games. If you have a VR headset I highly recommend Into The Radius. It is essentially Stalker VR. :)

just checked out the demo and from what i've experienced the foundation is there but the game is barely there. it's got a long way to go before it's close to EFT or DMZ. the map that is available is just a cludge of assets plopped down with minimal care, buildings are suck into the ground where you can see half a door sticking out of the ground. the visuals for the trader are hard to pick up due to contrast meaning half the time you look at something you have to read the pop up just to see what it is. movement is lackluster but there. like previously stated its got a foundation but i wouldn't call this a "game" or "demo" but more of a proof of concept work. this is the point where dev's either prove themselves or start asking for funding and scam the mass's i hope they pull through for the community because EFT ignoring the wants of a co-op PVE experience from the community is a drag. SPT is a solid grab tho.

We honestly couldn't have said it better ourselves! 100% with you on this. The devs do have a Patreon going and there have been regular updates and versions available to Patrons. When they make the move to Early Access we will see how much it has improved since the available demo (which we played to death). As you said, the foundation is there, but it definitely needs improvements. There are a few good projects in the works (Road to Vostok, Zero Sievert, Project Quarantine) and some already out (Hell Is Others, Into The Radius) looking to separate themselves from EFT and that appeal to the SPT and PvE crowd. Once the gates are open we should be getting an influx of decent Singleplayer and/or co-op PvE extraction/looter shooters in the next few years. A shame that EFT and Ghosts of Tabor have such a negative mindset regarding this widely craved feature.

@@ScarabicEnterprises ghost of tabor has such a short turnaround time and such a wide skill vector that it can be hell but if someone has just the slightest training they will shit on 80% of the player base and 100% of the AI.

@@godzilla7382 Very true, but that is kind of how it is for any tactical shooter that requires genuine physical skill in VR. If Ready or Not, Ground Branch, Zero Hour and Arma were all done in VR, there would be a platform for military and police vets where they can soar. We really like Ghosts of Tabor's foundation, yet our personal experience with the playtest and a portion of its' abusive community on steam was a massive turnoff (apparently the discord is just as toxic). If someone makes a single player mod for GoT (with progress), we may get it. Again, same with EFT, we don't want to give money to devs that hate the single player or co-op PvE community. That being said, if they added modes where it doesn't just pin people in pre-planned squads with randoms going solo, like a squad based free for all or something, that would introduce a bit more balance and might be worth it (it might go against the game's narrative), since currently solos and duos are getting steamrolled by squads of genuinely experienced vets or just people playing the "safety in numbers" game. There is a way for it all to work, but the devs and a large portion of the community are against it.

Project Quarantine (so far) is the most promising upcoming Singleplayer and Co-op extraction shooter. Worth checking out Zero Sievert as well, and Into The Radius if you're into VR :) Honestly, we don't really have an issue with PvP, it is a good mode to have as an option, we just don't like the gatekeeping and toxicity in the PvP extraction shooter community. A strong single player base with the option for co-op and multiplayer is the best design for games moving forward. Like how it used to be, before everything went online.

For this demo, yes, the release will have a price tag though and it is being made for single player and PvE. If you want Free Tarkov, look at "Arena Breakout" on Mobile/Tablet, it is a genuinely good PvPvE experience though the controls are a bit janky, enabling gyroscope helps a lot.

No there is no PvP in Project Quarantine. It is being made for single player and co-op PvE. If you want something like a PvP Tarkov and FREE, look at "Arena Breakout" on Mobile/Tablet, it is a genuinely good PvPvE experience though the controls are a bit janky, enabling gyroscope helps a lot.

This game is PvE, designed for single player with plans for co-op against AI enemies. If you're looking for a PvP experience like Escape From Tarkov and Ghosts of Tabor, we suggest trying out "Arena Breakout" which is free on mobile and tablet. Project Quarantine is a currently being worked on for early access but the demo is free if you wish to try it out, link is in the description :)

The whole premise of the extract shooter genre is based on the risk of running into other human players. This game is a sad attempt to cash in on the small-scale popularity of SPT. It won't match Road to Vostok, which is original and well thought-out for single-player, nor Tarkov, which defined the genre.

Games and their genres evolve over time, sometimes people create something that appeals to a wider audience than what was originally conceived. I am looking forward to Road to Vostok, I have been following the development for a long time now. I like the feel of this game so far and I look forward to what it may become in the future. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I have stated mine in a previous video.

@@stormzo6235 very different type of game though. But if you're interested in that kind of world in an extraction shooter, try Into The Radius on VR. Very good quality Stalker style game, there is also Zero Sievert as an alternative. :)

I mean it is kind of still in demo like maybe in the release nor beta u can and maybe will meet way nor just more player in game

@@Certified_idiotse Time will tell :) but we have high hopes for these kinds of games to succeed for the ever-growing single player and co-op PvE community. Let's see what happens when it comes out in early access and see how it changes at full release.

Tarkov laid out a good foundation for a game. As with almost every genre (especially popular ones) there will be games that follow. Some will fail, others will succeed. We are eager to find out either way :)

I don't know if you meant that in a good way or bad way, but it's just a demo, and it's obviously not trying to be tarkov. It's honestly a pretty good game

Because the core gameplay mechanics appeal to a wider audience than what the genre originally started as. We actually do have Ghost Recon, GR 2, GR 2 Island Warfare, GRAW, GRAW 2, GR Future Soldier, GR Wildlands and GR Breakpoint. They are not extraction shooters though. There is an increasing demand for single player extraction shooters, the devs of Project Quarantine, Road To Vostok, Zero Sievert, Hell Is Others (and more) know this, and are making some amazing games with that in mind. It is fine if you're not into single player extraction shooters, have you tried Arena Breakout on Mobile/Tablet, it is FREE and very similar to Escape From Tarkov. It is PvPvE and has controller support (Mobile controls are a bit bleh, but good with Gyroscope enabled)

Also, Ubisoft are fucking ghost recon into the ground, breakpoint was awful and monetized to the tits.
