First time I've seen of your work. Attempting a realistic drawing over such a surface seems -- well, unimaginable. I never would have done it myself. Never would have recommended it. And yet, the results speak for themselves. Magnificent. Thank you for blazing a new trail!

For me it’s the journey…It’s always testing…it’s always stressful…it always gives a result good or not so good…then there’s joy when it works out and you get good comments alongside the not so complimentary ones and they are generally from ourselves. You did and still inspire me to push on and with that after only 12 months had my first commission(I’m 64 years young)an acrylic highland cow multicoloured and from that came “can you do a giraffe one for this wall”😊. Carly I’m sure you’ll be well sort after for many years to come. Thank you❤😊

I just love how you draw hands, so lovely! Currently obsessed with faces and hands in my work. I believe every work you do is leading you somewhere and I am learning it's okay not to like something I do and even not to finish something I am working on. I am giving myself permission to start again until I love it. Loving your new style 🥰 Thank you for sharing..and I got stuck at work when that storm hit! 😆

Carly, Such beautiful work. I love the background and how parts of the subject are slightly behind the whites. It is a bit like seeing somebody through a window, with outside light reflecting slightly off the glass. I feel like if I moved a few inches to the left or the right the ‘reflections’ would change. It adds depth and enhances the three-dimensional feel, and that’s just from the video. Thank you for your beautiful artistry.

Hello Carly... From Florida, USA I'm new here so I fine that you are an amazing artist. As an Artist myself, I would like to just say to you; I never look for inspiration ... As a writer, I can find inspiration just by the definition of a word. Then I pull out my arsenal of adjectives to describe what I'm feeling. So, inspiration comes from what see and feel; then our imagination gives it definition. At that moment, pull out arsenal of tools,(adjectives) and express your inspiration on paper. One last thing... When you're done drawing what you want, and your collection is fulfilled; tap that market of buyer's out there looking for that one piece of their puzzle ;)

I've noticed your talent for the past year and I'm impressed! You and I share the same interest in fine drawings. You definitely have your own style and your work has socially redeeming value that results in profit on the market. And, I know what you are saying when you discuss your abilities, better or worse, that differs from the mental image in your mind. I too have the same desire to copy my mental image onto paper that will satisfy me. For example, I've felt cheated with graphite drawings due to the sheen effect and wanted a darker span of values that cancel it. Yet my whole life had no solutions. I love charcoal but the residue of black dust is often an excuse to avoid it. However, your tactic to draw on a vertical wall surface may eliminate much of that issue. But I also want to have the stability of a sharp pencil tip for extreme details too. About a year or so ago, I watched your video of your recommended tools and supplies and I think I need to watch it again. After all, that offered a true benefit. But, I'm a lot older now and at the age of sixty-five man, I no longer have the manual dexterity of my youth. I've noticed this decline in my penmanship over the past few years and is depressing. Therefore, I must rely on other means to achieve my desired effects, i.e., hand-supporting extension rods and rotating the paper surface. I don't know if you are aware of this but lately, a new product is on the market to assist in reducing the graphite sheen problem as stated earlier. You may want to research the Faber-Castell Pitt Graphite Matte Pencil Set that they claim is worthy. An eight-pencil set of various values is enclosed in a tin case with a blending tool and erasure. I'm going to purchase it and give it a go. However, I just wanted to contact you to tell you that your work is noteworthy and it's a pleasure to watch your creativity. It is obvious you plan to expand on a career to find enlightenment of perfection that will never reach your expectations...lol. Believe me, I know...lol. But, that is why we strive, right?...lol. Good luck, you are a class act, and know you have an American friend you never met here in the states. And hopefully, I will witness your future projects. Or, for at least a while anyway...lol.
