Hey, I don't care about blame, I just want you and Cruz to have your best life! This is another step towards that! Way to go you! And I so love the idea of adding the extra fans in there, I'll probably do something similar with mine now that I think of it. You may way to have Raynor add a temperature controlled relay to those fans so they don't run all the time, that will save power, and make the fans last longer. A temp controlled relay will turn the fans on when it's warm in the compartment and off when the temp goes down. Easy and cheap to do! Enjoy!

Chrome, I work for a competing fridge company and I will tell you it’s NOT the circulation. Lack of airflow will cause the compressor to not cool efficiently..that’s it. The condenser coil needs to be clean too. The thermoresistor(s) are probably simply defective..it happens. When you set the temp, your changing the amount of resistance to the sensor. Lower temp setting, more allowable resistantance. Once the resistance is achieved it shuts off. These newer fridges today are all solid state electronics and on occasion defects happen. What you did with airflow will certainly help it run more efficiently, but it won’t change the nature of the electronics. Hope this helps pal!

Ideas on how you might be able to secure the fridge. One is to use Velcro, attach it to the bottom, they have rolls that are 38mm wide and have a self sticking back that can hold allot of weight. or you can use one of those ratchet straps with a buckle that goes over the top. screw the strap down under the fridge run the strap over the top and "that's not going anywhere"

I never thought the screws were a problem. The air flow was what I'd have guessed. Was pleasantly surprised as how clean it was on the inside. I'd have expected, like others, for it to be packed with dust, dirt, fuzz, dog hair, etc. The question of air flow would be answered, I'd think and hope, in the manual. Appliances like this usually include specs for clearance for the exact reason of minimum ventilation. Hope Iceco lets Chrome know and is ok with him letting us know. And hopefully it was just one in a thousand units made by the new guy, late on a Friday, before a long weekend.

I have a half size Black and Decker fridge in my apartment. The compressor on my fridge too ran too much and the sides would get hot to the touch. In my case, the bottom quarter of the back is open exposing the compressor. I have a small floor fan blowing into that area. No more compressor running all of the time. No more hot sides. I suspect your initial problem was a air circulation/cooling issue. Time will tell.

Chrome -- here's another suggestion -- build a shelf above frig -- so when you put stuff on top -- it's not sitting right on top of the frig. Do it as a split shelf -- like top of frig -- so you can access each side as you do from inside. Maybe put foam runners to cushion top of refrig so can get air flow there too if you do a shelf -- but also protect it -- if it bounces up. But looks like your frig sits little higher than most -- some have theirs sitting on bottom of the floor. So yours is sitting in more of a heat zone. But you are right they usually have theirs encased. But looks like Raynor did a great job with fans and securing it from the bottom. But like you said -- you may not know if any problem till next summer. But here to Cold Vegs -- Cold BEER 🍺 & Frozen Dog 🐕 Food !

I mean, would the fridge still be jolted around when fastened down tight? But I know it has to be secured so that it doesn't hop around.
