He worked the Art of the Deal in dealing with the international leader in the Middle East and was nominated for 5 Nobel Peace Prize.
@Geniusignotus
@Geniusignotus 2 жыл бұрын
He was nominated only twice for the Nobel which is actually nothing to brag about; even Hitler, Mussolini and Stalin were nominated at least once In recent rallies, President Donald Trump has repeatedly conflated winning a Nobel Peace Prize with being nominated for one, and has wrongly faulted the media for ignoring his nomination after making former President Barack Obama’s nomination in 2009 “the biggest story I’ve ever seen” The media attention for Obama came after he won the Nobel Peace Prize. Trump has been nominated, but that’s not the “big thing” he makes it out to be. *There are 318 candidates for the Nobel Peace Prize for 2020 - 211 are individuals and 107 organizations* Any one of thousands of people can nominate someone for the prestigious award and two people have come forward saying they nominated Trump But on its website, the Nobel committee warns not to attach too much importance to a nomination “Any person or organization can be nominated by anyone eligible to nominate,” the committee states. The Norwegian Nobel Committee has no input into submissions, though it decides who actually wins the prize. “To simply be nominated is therefore not an endorsement or extended honour to imply affiliation with the Nobel Peace Prize or its related institutions,” the committee states Nominations for a Nobel Peace Prize can be made by any one of perhaps hundreds of thousands of eligible people, including, according to the Nobel website, “university rectors or chancellors, professors of political and social science, history, philosophy, law and theology; leaders of peace research institutes and institutes of foreign affairs; members of national assemblies, governments, and international courts of law; previous Nobel Peace Prize Laureates; board members of organizations and institutions that have received the Nobel Peace Prize; present and past members of the Norwegian Nobel Committee; and former advisers of the Norwegian Nobel Institute.”

Peace in the Middle East?? It seems you're solely focusing on the Abraham Accords (impressive as it was but amounted to little as it had largely dismissed Palestine from mediation talks) and not on the following: * the unsanctioned relocation of the American embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, violating UN law and threatening the international status of one of the most politically disputed cities in the world (as it's claimed by both Israel and Palestine) * the break with long-standing bipartisan U.S. policy that Israel should stop building additional illegal settlements in the West Bank as a precursor to negotiations with the Palestinians, with Trump saying that the Israelis "have to keep going" and "I don't think there should be a pause." * the unexpected U.S. withdrawal from the Iran nuclear deal, the unsanctioned killing of Qassem Soleimani, and the large number of threats made by Trump personally via Twitter (to the surprise of his own administration) to attack civilian-populated cities along the Persian Gulf and 52 select cultural heritage sites, all of which greatly raised tensions between the U.S. and Iran to its peak levels since the onset of the Iranian Revolution, further intensifying instability and backtracking peace in the Middle East by 10 years

Also, Trump didn't play a role in actually writing any of his books, including 'Art of the Deal' They were all the work of ghost-writers In fact, Tony Schwartz (the real author of Art of the Deal') even claimed that writing the book was his "greatest regret in life, without question"

@@PermanentHigh The exact global death rate as of right now is 2.9% And It's probably lower than that because US hospitals are incentivized to call it a covid death to receive more government funding. Many Flu deaths and pneumonia deaths have been mischaracterized as a covid death. 36,754,395 confirmed cases 1,064,838 deaths 1,064,838/36,754,395 = 0.0289717188 Source: WHO

From wikipedia "Schwartz called writing the book his "greatest regret in life, without question," and both he and the book's publisher, Howard Kaminsky, said that Trump had played no role in the actual writing of the book. Trump has personally given conflicting accounts on the question of authorship.[4][7] Schwartz later suggested that the work be "recategorized as fiction""

"For the book, though, Trump needed to provide him with sustained, thoughtful recollections. He asked Trump to describe his childhood in detail. After sitting for only a few minutes in his suit and tie, Trump became impatient and irritable. He looked fidgety, Schwartz recalls, “like a kindergartner who can’t sit still in a classroom.” Even when Schwartz pressed him, Trump seemed to remember almost nothing of his youth, and made it clear that he was bored."
