Many remote employees have been required to go back to the corporate office, what industries in this area support these housing prices? Or are Californians paying cash to purchase these homes? We want to do some 1031 exchanges, but understanding the local economy is important.

Hi! Thanks for watching. It's a combination of different industries and situations I believe. There are several tech companies here, as well as a great university and hospital network. Outside of that, I know some folks have their own businesses, and of course tourism is a big thing here. The prices are too high for many residents, though. The prices are high mostly due to a lack of supply and more demand than we can keep up with.
