After I watched your videos, I think I should draw a special picture for you so you can feel that someone loves you, especially when you draw, and especially when you smile, because your smile is very sweet....Drawing makes you feel like you belong to an imaginary world, and the wonderful thing is when you draw a person flying in the sky of your imagination or a person who you feel is all your dreams, just like you.

I was really happy to see the brief beach scene. It's true that to excel at something like drawing or writing you have to put in the time in the trenches: 10,000 hours is perhaps the way artists describe it. Writers sometimes say that we have to write a million words before we've gotten the crap out of our system and can begin to write well. You need to be somewhat obsessed or you won't get there. But you can't let it consume you. You still have to take time to live a life. I'm very happy to see that you seem to know that. It's crucial to building a life doing what you love, instead of burning out and disappearing into what might have been.

Hi Carly, great to find you & your amazingly beautiful Art here on YT...I'm a very ordinary portrait (pencil-drawing) hobbyist & art/ design enthusiast...can hardly dare call myself an artist with no institutional or any other training. Gave-up my corp.job being a precious fine-jewellery design/merchandise professional to mfg. & global export industry, for almost 30 yrs - with an idea to pursue art in a way that I would love to create & share the sheer joy & happiness of it...(visited your beautiful country Australia way bk in 2000)... Haven't seen all your videos yet..a few that I saw has added me to your long list of admirers(absolute fan) ❣️ I hardly got enough words of admiration with so much already been said so beautifully ❣️ Your Ethereal Art, like a visual poetry btwn you & your subj. coming to life on paper, is a reflection of a beautiful YOU resonating through your sweet voice in the beautiful narrative of facets of happiness, from the essay-read, so candidly expressed & shared through your Life-journey as an immensely talented artist❤️ 💜 💖 💗 & thanks so much for such warm words of encouragement- truely inspiring 💖 💕

Artwork so far has been really good. I would love to see the finished version of it. I really liked how you put a base layer of color on paper adding more depth to the artwork. Another thing I liked a lot was use of white for cloth it adds the brightness to drawing which really looks good. What I missed in this video was your signature graphite, water and brush technique. I liked thoughts describing happiness too. Honestly happiness is something which is always there with you it's just that sometimes sand of situation or time covers it up making it invisible to us. As soon as we blow the dust away it's there for you again. Like many of your viewers I find happiness viewing your artwork. I would end it on the happiness that you're getting from the finished artwork as an artist is a rainbow that's source of happiness in lives of your viewers. Keep up the good work and God bless you :D

Hello Carly... Very interesting essay, along with a practical application of it in relation to the strive for success in the world of art. Not just relative to the project at hand, but to the process in general, and to the creative journey which makes one smile, and feel genuine accomplishment, when they succeed at what they originally set out to do. The journey that always stays with you, long after your work is done. The journey that you always remember. The journey that was full of heart felts and heart breaks. The journey that finally led you to the signing of your work because you feel that it is done. I think that too much emphasis today is placed on how you draw. There are many ways, styles and techniques. Drawing, painting, photo realism, simplicity, the list goes on and on. All equal in some way because art pleasure is different for everyone. The creation of it by you or for the enjoyment of it by others. What I think is the most important thing of all is what you draw. That one thing or moment that speaks to you, making you want to capture it and portray it in your own visual interpretation. It is what the artist's eye sees, and what it wishes to create, that makes your heartbeat faster and give you the strength and desire to see it through. I love to pick highlights out with a kneaded eraser, it is one of my favorite parts. They are my highlights, not those that come from a camera's eye, but mine. I also love to apply those dark accents that give the punch and depth, contrasting and complementing the highlights that I have also created. That one special moment does come when you have the realization that your unwritten and unspoken words, born inside your artist's eye, have visually appeared before you. Happiness of excellence derived from your emotional resilience. Peace of mind signing your work, because you captured artistically what you personally saw as art for others to see. All art created by you shows people just who you are. Always stay true to yourself and continue to strive for your own personal happiness. You are on a beautiful journey. Always take the time to enjoy the scenery along the way and find more magical moments to create that speak to you. Always let your art find the right words to say, that is all that is necessary. Have a beautiful day and never give up on your artistic dreams and your wonderful work. 🎨🥰

Artist are lonely creatures. When we are pursuing art next level, we keep going with the flow, we keep going . We could draw for hours, for days for weeks.. amazing feeling. The beginning, the process, the final artwork all three parts are wonderful experience. 🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤ "Artist Highs". We have to balance, art and socialize. To artist, art is their best friend. ❤❤🎉🎉🎉❤❤. Some people love gaming, singing, dancing... As artist , we "just happen" to love doing artwork. Or you can say there is "Blood of Art" in us. Doing artwork are natural to us. Art is like the air we breathe. Art is our heartbeat 💓. Thank God.
