This documentary was made 5 years ago, the average life expectancy of a homeless person is 10 years, it's probable that a number of them have since died. It's easy to avoid the facts, yes many are drug addicts and may well refuse help, but that's what an addiction does, it's so overwhelming that logic and reason are lost. Many of these youngsters are victims of mental illnesses, sexual abuse and family breakdowns, there's no single reason but it's a choice no one makes for fun. In the UK we do have a social welfare system but it's very stretched and with huge levels of immigration that pressure on housing is only making the situation worse. Just be thankful it's not you but don't be naïve enough to believe it will never be you or your child, because it can, you can lose that job, you can get divorced you can develop a mental illness, you can let that glass of wine become the bottle.

At least Kelly can now claim benefits cover rent I slept rough on of 20 yrs I'm 10 yrs clean been my studio flat 7 yrs love it so much my 4 beautiful cats 🐈 😻 and family super blessed

I relate to Kelly in many ways if she got kicked out cause her mum didn’t like her partner how can she still see her sleep rough I got kicked out of my family home cause they didn’t like my partner and my mental health got worse but my family still made sure I had some sort off accommodation, I could never see my child on the street just cause I don’t like there partner or there life choices could never see them on the street even if I couldn’t have them live under my roof. I guess some people just have horrible bad luck. 😢 shes got potential to become something brilliant and I hope she does and everyone in this series has a better life and better opportunities thrown at them. Thoughts and prays are with everyone off them ❤ xxx

Omg, just came across these episodes on Girls on streets..an I knew Arna in one of them sadly she's not with us anymore 😔 an I also used to stay with Greg an Dianna to when I was homelessness in Hastings they used to have a lovely flat there an with there beautiful cat to they actually gave me there bed i was in a right state at the time they insistedas i felt awful ..arhh if anyone knows or have hurd anything from them please pass this message on saying Ems is asking after them i so hope they are still here with us an we'll an have sorted themselves out Dianna was a beautiful lass to so pretty sad to see her face like this sending lots love an light godbless 💚🙏

I slept rough on of 20 yrs I was in house fire at 13 2 children died I had learn walk again I was put in children homes we were sexualy abused then groomed in to child prostitution I am 10 years clean 20 yrs dry I suffer bipolar split personality attachment disorder ptsd and add its awful sleeping rough u don't feel part society I was attacked several times some people get so used to it they Stay out there I'm in studio flat 7 yrs it's like mansion with my 4 crazy cats food cupboard bills paid responsibility love ❤️ it

I came from a third world country and I manage my life in the UK.. Where there is will there away.

I don’t understand why can’t they go and do care jobs . Their is health sector Crisis , care homes are closing down due to no workers . Why can’t they go and do those jobs rather than stay on the street , How about cleaning jobs , farming , house keeping, a lot of unskilled jobs are out there . Ocean? Mmmm, not buying it. Strikes me as someone who has just decided to kick back against her parents, society in general. Living the nomadic life, funded by the aforementioned. To put her in with the other rough sleepers is disingenuous.
