In this video Ann's inner child cries out for FINGER PAINTING! With just a few remnants and basic tools, Ann creates some very interesting pieces while giving her clay the finger....with underglaze that is. Underglaze painting with your fingers is a tactile experience that will get you more in touch with your art. Give it a try - or just watch Ann work, its a relaxing video to watch! There is also a hidden question that seeks an answer from a entity named "Freddie".
If you would like to learn Ann's underglaze painting, glazing, and decorating process then check out Ann's Video Workshop Series. These workshops are very detailed (typically 1.5 - 2 hours in length) where Ann provides step by step instruction and are designed to help potters take their work to new levels of craftsmanship and artistry. vimeo.com/showcase/6725318
Ann uses Standard English Porcelain #365 Clay (No, we don't get free clay from them)
LINKS TO STUFF USED IN THE VIDEO:
(If you buy stuff from one of these links, a kid with a messy face from eating an ice cream cone in freezing temperatures will approach you on a Thursday in a month with an "A" in it. He will offer you a strange coin that operates a Kiss pin ball machine in the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk Arcade. Upon scoring over 500,000 points and making Gene's tongue pop out, a code will appear on the TV just above the machine that, when applied on-line, will get you 10% off on your next purchase of adult diapers)

I loved this video Ann. You are amazing. Thanks for this idea. I would prefer making my own stencils than using someone else's art.

To answer your question, I believe it's a thumb hole. It's there so that one can use one's thumb to stop the roll inside from turning, like a brake, so that one can cut off a precise amount of waxed paper. Sincerely, Freddie

I so love your work. You have amazing ideas. What clear glaze do you use? I have had some interesting issues with my clear over underglaze. Not always good. What underglaze do you use? Thanks so much for sharing❣️
@LittleStreetPottery

The underglazes are Amaco and you can see specifics in the video. When I use clear (rarely) its Amaco C-11. Thanks for watching!

Hi. I love your videos. Question. When you use underglaze on green ware do you just use a clear over glaze in final fire? Or can you use other light colored glazes? Could you use a celadon? Would your design show through? Thank you!
@LittleStreetPottery
@LittleStreetPottery 2 жыл бұрын
Hi Judy! I typically do not use clear OVER my underglaze painting. I glaze around the painting to maintain the color. I have only used celadon as featured in our recent vids and not Over designs...but, good idea for future video!

Great wee video again!.....Wax paper being slick that is probably to hold(with thumb) it from sliding out when you are cutting it on the perforation blade?????? Does it have a perforation blade?
