Have to see how you did that great black board. I think there is a black board of some sort in a pic I want to color in a mouse school. Those uneven bricks on the opposite page would drive me nuts though. I’d have to redraw all the lines so the corners and front of the bricks were in the same place.

It is fun to revisit a piece you have started. The possibly new perspective adds passion to your efforts

I just love your channel and how you explain what you are doing and why. I have some abandoned pages mostly because they overwhelm me and take all my coloring energy out of me.. and it can take weeks or months to start coloring again. Now I have gotten into the habit of keeping a journal or put a sticky note on the page to tell me which type and colours I used.. this could be another reason not to finish. Although the last months i have a al most finished all of them. Except for the last one.. this means I need a colouring break!

I enjoyed this video, because this classroom page is one of my favorites in all 3 RC's. As for pencils being less pigmented, they have at least one merit: I often use them as the last layer to blend/burnish.

You did a great job on that page and i love how you always use crayolas with the high end colors...i really like my crayolas aswell and sometimes they do what my expensive colors can’t..due to their light saturation

I completely agree about the Crayola pencils. I find them useful for light areas and also for natural surfaces like stones and rocks.

I love the 'craziness' of this real life session,16:15. I really like the page; it looks 3 dimentional with the way you did the wall color and the shadow under the bookshelf. I love your artwork!

I love your style! I am similar in my choices of trying to keep a limited color palette so I appreciate hearing the rationale behind your creative choices. You have inspired me to go back to some of my older WIPs!

I love the way you color. I try to do each object with shading but it doesn’t come naturally for me so I might have a couple of areas looking great and the rest looks like a kid. One thought I’ve had is that the finished pages look good framed for child’s bedroom or a play room. A few cheap frames and your good.

I enjoy your coloring so much and appreciated your comments on choosing the colors as you went along. Also your discussing what colors would go with the picture as a whole. These are decisions we all have to make and wonder how they will look when we’re done. Thanks so much! Dawn

No need to get the set of 100 pencils for one specific color. Harvest gold is one of the colors in the Crayola for adult coloring 24 pack.

I'm the opposite! I have a really hard time not finishing a page I started. I end up not coloring for a few days then go back and finish. I don't always like it but my brain says,"at least it's done". I've tried to get away from that mindset but all that happens is I quit coloring all together... it is what it is...so I just finish so I can move on to another.

Hmm...actually Crayola is more pigmented than most people realize...not as much as Prisma or Polychromos of course, but still...only thing is, most people don’t like to layer and that’s what is required in order to get the full potential of Crayola. As for abandoning a picture....nope, never have. However, since I do like to layer, I have what I call my more “serious” images and those have tons of layers and that takes time. So on those like that, I take my time and that can mean working on them off and on for a very long time, like months....for example I had two (technically 3, only the 3rd isn’t what I would call “serious “ per se’) like that in which I started last fall and I just finished one of them a few days ago. Your picture came out nice!

It is back in stock (reprinted) but it is a Japanese edition so you have to use google translate. Try Etsy to buy it.. Fast shipping, bit pricey, and friendly sellers.. Or even Amazon japan! (search to find out how) i hope this helps!

I have been collecting pencils/pens and coloring books for a bit now and I am finally getting into them. I have a general question I am hoping you might be able to answer for me. In the coloring books with the lower quality paper do you think I would be better off with prismacolors, polychromos, or just my gel ink pens? I have noticed in one of the cheaper books I have that there is a clear limit to blending so that led me to seek an answer that I can't seem to find. So here I ask and hope for some insight :) Thx and I love your channel, watching has giving me confidence to jump into finally coloring.
