THE YARN
For the warp and the weft of the curtains, I used 8/2 cotton from Maurice Brassard in the color Naturel (100) and Jeans (4271). If you are in the US, here's where you can get the same yarn on The Woolery's website : woolery.com/maurice-brassard-...

Your curtains are beautiful! You explained everything in this video (and the previous video) wonderfully! And your phone did a marvelous job of recording after your lens mishap. I felt so bad for you when the lens and tripod broke, but you kept smiling and your cheerfulness shined through in spite of it.

Your curtain height is perfect. I also sew curtains that do not go to the floor, but just under the windowsill framing. In my opinion, it's a nice look, and doesn't break up the wall. You did a wonderful job on this project.

When I was practicing my hemming I would sew strips of old clothing which I had cut into strips to weave rugs with, you can sew hundreds of feet of fabric strips together and different kinds of fabric too, I completely understand trying to keep the hem from stretching as you sew, some of it is when you tug on it to assist with steering but that’s a skill which you can practice on the fabric strips for rug making. I can hem at high speed now. I haven’t seen you weave any rugs before but maybe try it out

I was looking forward to seeing these! I'm really sorry about the camera lens :( I hope you can replace it without too much trouble. The curtains came out lovely, at the very least. I kinda do want to take inspiration from them when I finally have my own place... But the crazy part of my brain is telling me to attempt to include some leno too. Which. That would take a while.

The curtains are stunning. Pinning the hem before you sew stops everything from shifting as you sew and might make you more satisfied with the final result. Or just buy some stitch witchery. Nonetheless they are beautiful.
