This is the final progress update for my working LEGO bowling alley that I've built over the last several months. In this episode, I expand the bowling lane another 96 lego studs as well as finishing the front of the bowling alley with the ball return and lighting. At 193 studs long, 48 studs wide, and 83 blocks tall, this is currently (to my knowledge), the world's largest LEGO bowling alley that is fully working and functional on KZfaq.

Turning the sensor 45 degrees was a 200 IQ move SO proud of you for completing this surreal bowling machine!!!

Thank you so so much!! That sensor gave me a worlddddd of issues especially the fact the refresh rate is not very fast, luckily that was able to fix it

Finally, after so many hours of hard work! I kinda chuckled at the part of the video where you tried it out the first time and just went "but then this went wrong, and then this happened, and this didn't work either". But you fixed everything, so I can't wait for the video!

Very cool to see it all coming together! It would be interesting to know how reliable it is in the end. At your speed of fixing things, it will probably be pretty good!

I’ve began filming the showcase video and everything has been surprisingly working perfectly besides the pinsweep occasionally dislodging from the rails and the ball not always getting sensed

Put the ball sensor somewhere before the chain pickup but after the lane. Then you can roll as fast as you want, and it’ll detect the ball rolling at a slower speed after it has been collected and moved down track
@LegoCloud
@LegoCloud 3 ай бұрын
As good of an idea as that is, unfortunately the ball does not always make it through the lane. If thrown at a lighter speed the pins can stop the ball on the lane

I would like to see a unedited game of bowling and what will be your next project
@LegoCloud
@LegoCloud 3 ай бұрын
In my next video there will be a couple complete games that are unedited, they’ll will just be some cuts to different camera angles on inside and outside of the machine. I’m unsure of my next project but would love recommendations!

It’s me again great work on the lane to bad the balls are not like a marble ball serface so you can hook the ball but I scraped my tiny lane to make a bigger and better lane thank you for inspiring me

So impressive what you have done. I am working on a huge project with multiple moving parts and was wondering if you could tell me where to go for the best "how to" info for coding with LEGO.
@LegoCloud
@LegoCloud 3 ай бұрын
Thank you! Searching for videos on the individual blocks help a lot to understand what each do and how they work with others. The best way I’ve learned is by practice. Over the probably 50 machines I’ve programmed I’ve learned a bit more each time about how to use switches, loops, and variables

@@LegoCloud Thanks so much. The biggest thing for me is how to get started. I haven’t announced this on my channel yet but I only have 11 subscribers so far, but I am building the city of Paris out of LEGO. The huge project I have decided on now is I have LEGO’s version of the Eiffel Tower but it’s not in scale with normal LEGO. So my plan is to build the very first LEGO Eiffel Tower in 1/42 scale. The big advantage of this is that it will be big enough that everything can function. That is what I need the most help with is coding the elevators. Sorry it was so lengthy
@LegoCloud
@LegoCloud 3 ай бұрын
@@JD.French.city.connection. ah I see that’ll be so cool! I’d start with a start program block, then a loop, then inside the loop a wait block set to wait until a button is pressed, then a motor spins to move the elevator. You can have multiple start blocks in one program to do this multiple times. Having a sensor at each floor or programming a variable would allow it to remember/know what floor it’s on
