The freshest cringe on tiktok right now is metalheads/self-proclaimed punks dunking on Lil Pump over his literal joke "Pump Rock" song. Because they literally have the same mindset about music as a middle schooler that thinks "edgy music good, can't spell crap without rap" cringelords that spend all their time talking shit about genres they don't even listen to and aren't educated in. For these people, music can't simply exist to be fun. They have to treat everything as if it's attempting to be high art, when there is more than enough room for dumb fun music. And the irony is that this is coming from the self-proclaimed "punks" that preach about freedom of expression all the time, and will glaze Fat Mike for writing about his nutsack. Zero self awareness.

I work with a kid i asked hime what kind of music does he listen to he said "mostly metal" i asked "really what kind of genres are you into" he said "i dont pay attention to genres i just listen to whatever i think is good i i like things like lorna shore, metallica, power trip, cattle decapitation". Lol! When I learned about the Holocaust in my 10th grade history class I had to do a project. I played Slayer for the class and then led a class discussion on the lyrics. Everyone was horrified/dying of laughter inside cz our teacher was a middle aged Christian man, sweetheart of a teacher cz he totally rolled with it.

My wife is way more metal than I am. My favorite bands are Linkin Park, The Rolling Stones, and Jackson Brown. Hers are 'In This Moment', AX7 and Falling in Reverse. She also likes Blink 182 and Green Day, while I prefer Bad Religion and Operation Ivy. But we blend together nicely and are always showing each other new music. Thats the point right? Shes a little pop metal/pop punk, Im a little classic rock/classic punk.
