Fire Emblem: Three Houses review is an upcoming tactical role-playing game, developed by Intelligent Systems with support from Koei Tecmo Games. The game will be published worldwide for the Nintendo Switch by Nintendo on July 26, 2019. The game is the fifteenth game in the Fire Emblem series, and the first for home consoles since Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn (2007).
Three Houses is set on the continent of Fódlan, divided between three rival nations now at peace, connected through the Garegg Mach Monastery. Taking the role of a former mercenary and new tutor at Garegg Mach, the player must choose a nation to support and guide them through a series of battles. The game carries over the turn-based tactical gameplay of earlier Fire Emblem titles, while incorporating social simulation and time management elements.

that has been the perk of Nintendo games and consoles, it's their trademark, of course they are not without flaws though, things like region lock and such, but the past few years they have fixed many of the underlying 'annoying' problem.

@@TheRagingSun Mother 3 has one of the best stories of all time, but yeah, Nintendo games aren't really known for their story. Usually that goes to second party studios like IntSys, Retro, Monolith Soft etc

Joël Naveed BOTW is NOT an RPG. Three houses is a tactical strategy JRPG It’s a classic. The character Interaction is A1, The soundtrack is legit highest tier, the world building is brilliant, the gameplay in both the combat and the levelling is so good. The environments could’ve been a lot better and the visuals overall. That aside it’s right up there

It's still nothing but fake. I don't understand why would anyone pick the fake instead original. Seriously. Maybe it's hard to understand for American people, but for me, as European person it's mind blowing that someone mature is unironically chosing the dub.

@@axogreen876 yes it's mind blowing from my perspective. Obsession about your own language. And as I said earlier it's not only about Japanese media. It's all the same for literally any other language. Playing GTA dubbed into other language than English is as cringy as playing Japanese games dubbed into English (or any other language). It's worse butchering than visual censorship actually. And as always, you stated binary option (learning language - yeah, I learned Japanese, but what about other languages? Being able to appreciate foreign languages and cultures has nothing to do with obsession, it's only natural for any open minded person). No, this world isn't binary, people aren't machines. Dubbing is fake regardless of the country origin.

NyQuiiL Cold & Flu yeah I’d be there with you, but I think the two spiritual successors, Wargroove and Tiny Metal: Full Metal Rumble, have taken what was great about the Advance Wars series and split it into two solid directions.

Easy way to level professor level. Stockpile Fishing bait, wait for a fishing bonus day that gives multiple fish per catch, that way you can get over 100 professor exp per bait used. I grinded Professor rank C+ to A+ in one fishing session.

This is absolutely my favorite game on the switch, maybe my favorite game of all time, thank you for the review! I absolutely loved path of radiance and radiant dawn. I've played most of the FE games, but nothing captured me as much as the radiant duo, until now. I think the full sized characters and 3d terrains really makes it more immersive. I haven't played persona yet, but after this I know i've got to give it a try.

I love how in depth this game is. Even the tea times and other small actions are voiced. And depending on who you choose they have different dialogue between each other. Fav switch game besides the main ones like Zelda and Mario 👌

I picked this up on launch day based on your trusted review Johnny. The game looks and plays beautifully so far. I can tell it is going to be pretty unforgiving, with a lot of mechanics to learn, but it's drawn me in to where I'm happy to invest the time and effort. Great review and infectious enthusiasm!

Suggested Play route: Golden Deer > Blue Lions > Church of Seiros > Black eagles. BE is unique in its storyline, and its best for last.

I'm glad they give you a language option, I my self preffer English unless the voice work is terrible which with newer games it's good. I was playing Tales of Vesperia on my Switch and I thought it was pretty good. I feel more immersed understanding the language.

im thinking about buying it but something bugs me is it like little mini side tasks u do in a house and just play levels as the campaign theres no open world free roaming stuff?

I have played fire emblem Path of Radiance, Radiant Dawn, Sacred Stones, Awakening and Shadows of Valentia, and Path of Radiance Is my favorite.

Carlos Alberto Pedraza Montañez Yep. Same here. Loved it so much that I went back and played almost every single US release up to this point. Had I started with any of the other games ,except maybe Radiant Dawn, I might not have even gotten into the series. Path of Radiance is the best in my own opinion. I doubt this will beat it but we will see.

Also my favourite. Three houses is good so far, but it focuses a little more on the house/world building than battle for my tastes. Not that it hasn't been enjoyable in those modes, I would prefer a little more battle action that is directly related to the plot though.

@@BenjiMordino I think the great part is that you can choose what to focus on. You can use all of your free days to do auxiliary and quest battles if you want, which ends up providing more overall battles than most other FE games.

@@nicholasdiaz1925 yes indeed, I've spent more time with it since commenting. The story is very gripping, and I am enjoying all the new additions a lot more. A fantastic entry into the series for sure.

Tim Kerkemeiker Let’s start with the basics then Bows are good against Archers. Read descriptions of Weapons to find out advantages and check Enemy inventory. If you don’t check the inventory then you could lose a unit. This is a little different from previous games so I’m also trying to adjust to it. Keep an eye out for durability and Gold. You don’t want to run out. Not all Units can be equal. You won’t have time to even out every single unit unless you try super hard. I’d suggest you choose your favorites and ones you like the most. Like in the videos you should Learn about the characters to increase supports. The bonds they forge can increase each other’s stats when they are near each other. Be careful about Ambush Spawns and Criticals can either make or ruin your day so be careful about that.
