I'd never tried Fireball before. It's basically whisky with cinnamon syrup in it for a very sugary and aromatic taste.
But will it carbonate?

The InFizz isn't as good as the DrinkMate. The DrinkMate will do eggnog and baileys fine. It's designed to do stuff for high end cocktails and molecular mixology. They actively advertise it for doing this sort of stuff. And it's the same price as a modern sodastream.

I ended up running a bottle of fireball through the distiller after your Jägermeister distilling experiment a few years ago. The whisky at the end was not good but the syrup left in the unit was absolutely amazing on waffles.

Irresponsibly I had a bottle of Jack Daniels I wasn't drinking so I decided to carbonate it, took lots of gas and when combined with coke on ice, it's a mixture that's capable of turning Dr. Jekyll into Mr. Hyde

There's a fairly common cocktail of Fireball with Rumchata, often called "Cinnamon Toast Crunch" because it tastes similar to the sugary cereal of that name.

My sister recently won a 12-pack of the miniature bottles in a raffle. I was offered two of them and I don't usually turn down whiskey (or whiskey-based) gifts. On my brother in law's advice, I put it in the freezer. It really is better chilled!

Sadly the mini-bottles are wine-based not whiskey based. There was/is a lawsuit... “Fireball Cinnamon products are genuine malt-based or wine-based alcoholic beverages produced by the makers of Fireball Whisky,” the company writes on its website. “They have been developed using a proprietary recipe, capturing the essence of the Fireball Whisky taste experience consumers love.” Sazerac declined to comment on the pending litigation.

@@thisguy_w0n Please delete, no. That's not correct. I remembered reading about it, mentioned it to my sister, and checked the label. That was in the US. It only applied to the bottles called "Fireball Cinnamon," to get around one of their liquor licensing laws.

It's considered a college kids' drink on this side of the pond. Not a bad winter drink. I used to like it as a warmer after spending all day in cold arenas back in my early TV career. Haven't bought it in years though.

Fireball also sells a non-distilled version as certain areas can't sell distilled beverages but beer, wine and the like are fine. The Samuel Adams Brewery has made a solely fermented "beer" over 30% v/v EtOH. Super yeasts are out there.

Canadian born Scot here. We get Irn bru in some shops in Canada. I had some over Christmas and tried it with vodka. It was pretty good. I also tried it with Sailor Jerry’s spiced rum. That was also good.

Friend of mine used to add club soda to pretty much any alcoholic beverage whenever time allowed us to meet after hours to drink. Thing is, he didn’t ask for the drink to be mixed with the soda, he would pick a random person in the club, point at them and ask the bartender “I want what that person is having, with club soda”. That’s how I got the chance to taste marvelous random things like iced americano latte with soda, tequila with soda, a B52 set dropped in a tankard with vodka and club soda and so on. Then, some… 5 years ago now (geez) we were talking about what theme for the next weekend’s drink up and set on “artificially flavored”, so anything that got its characteristic flavor from a natural source part of the process of distilling , fermenting, aging or storage would be out. Long story short, keeper didn’t know if Fireball had cynnamaldehyde or not and we all ended up drinking a round with it mixed with club soda. It was quite nice compared to the other stuff we came up with that night…

maybe shaking it like a "polaroid picture" doesnt help but light tapping might help. the foaming is caused by bubbles in the drink which act as nucleation sites for the gas inside the drink to escape from. maybe a couple taps will help those bubbles stuck to the sides of the container to rise up and dissipate.

I do love me some fireball. It's quite dilute compared to a regular whisky like you said but it is also TECHNICALLY a liqueur so there's some weirdness there. A shot of it is always clean, even neat.

You've gotta do something with the terrible whiskey. This 'Whiskey flavour liqueur' can't compete with a whiskey, but it's a damn good liqueur! Think about it, putting good whiskey in a cake or cocktail, or hot chocolate? No way. And Bells makes anything vomit inducing. It has that lovely warmth profile and the cinamon helps fix any bad taste. You're comparing a good vinegar to wine! Put it on your chips!
