I admit,Dave is very outspoken,however,asyou said,Dave calls a number of people stupid.ive was raised in a church that YOU'D better do what they said or else: they didnt teach or believe in compassion: i will say Dave should have gotten some sort aid or help for the young woman instead of it hitting the media,very bad press.i dont know all the facts though: i can relate in a way because of how i was reared in the church.

That doesn't make it right. I watch Dave's show and follow his financial advice but I cringe every time he calls someone stupid. It's not okay and that is actually "classless". People get desensitized by people's celebrity status. It's wrong for Dave to do it just as it is for anyone else. He fires her for her sin but turns around and sins by cussing. His firing her and canceling her insurance is just as bad as her having pre marital sex. The hypocrisy is incredible. He's gonna lose this one.

You're projecting your own bias into the situation. You weren't raised in "the church." You were raised by people, who are sinners. Your one congregation may not have been doing it right. But if you read the bible, all kinds of congregations had their own problems. This is nothing new. You're literally blaming God for the actions of people in your one congregation. Doesn't sound very compassionate to me, but it does sound hypocritical. I would invite you to try again. You can always go back to Christ as long as you draw breath. @@victortaylor7737

@@44fastgun wait, so youre going to dismiss the the old testament commandments as if God hmself didnt speciically command them hmself? When do you think god became more moral than his behavior in the OT? Keep in mind that according to Christians, Jesus himself commanded the atrocities and disgusting law in the OT, because he is the creator god.
@44fastgun
@44fastgun 2 жыл бұрын
@@EDUAROSOLAS You didn't hear me dismiss anything. The Old testament laws were valid and established to prepare for the Messiah, whose presence would begin a new covenant. The OT itself foretells the expiration of that dispensation (Jeremiah 31: 31-34, Ezekiel 36: 24-28). I do not see where God was any less Holy than He's always been. The only real OT atrocity I see is wicked human beings rebelling and despising their creator after He revealed to them their best path to eternal existence. If you are trying to suggest slavery as "God's huge mistake", then you would be the one guilty of dismissing the OT. The whole system reveals itself in Exodus to resemble what in modern times is called indentured servanthood; it was a voluntary, temporary path to land-ownership for the poor, with strict laws against abuse, and provisions for voluntary permanence due to many servants developing favorable relationships with their employer. Compare that to the secular welfare disaster of today that panders to poor folks until election day, gives little incentive to work,, then leaves them with a mere grocery check for the rest of their lives. I think you got the OT confused with the humanisticly-developed secular Euro-colonial slavery system, which was involuntary, abusive, and violated every precept that was the OT social structure.

I think he's going to lose this case. Besides, doesn't Jesus preach that we should turn the other cheek? The whole point of the New Testament was about forgiveness, so she's even got a good argument using Dave's own religious principles. Matthew 18:21-22 21Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, "Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother when he sins against me? Up to seven times?" 22Jesus answered, "I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times.

It's going to eat a $1000 emergency fund in about two months of ownership with repairs. Paying debts smallest to largest with no regard for interest rate can make sense but it depends on the situation. Getting people out of debt and then refusing to tell them how smart it is to use debt once they are better equipped to handle it is irresponsible. His advice is to just never take on any debt except a mortgage again after you're out. That's preposterous. I'm not going to work there, sign papers saying I understand, have company wide expectations known that we take off shoes when entering and then act shocked when they push back because I keep wearing my shoes inside. After all, it's a private business, and a business owner can break whatever laws they see fit, right? Now I know why Corporate America has become tyrannical and bloated. People condone their behavior and allow them to have complete control over their employees' lives (including their bodies~vax mandate comes to mind). As a Christian, when someone is in need, that is not the time to judge. It is the time to be supportive and kind. All of the men in his company can have all of the premarital sex in the world and he would never know. This woman could have had invitro, her birth control failed or just wanted to have a child without marriage. But to take away her source of income and benefits is cold. DR you will see this day again. To much that is given, much is required. And remember, Mary wasn't married.

Because Mary was made pregnant by God, and carried the son of God, and the savior of the world. Totally diffrent. It's true Dave wouldn't know 100% if his male unmarried employees are sleeping around, unless clear evidence emerges and given that they can't get pregnant as proof is also another factor, but the women they do impregnate can also come forward with strong evidence they got pregnant by them, but of course there can also be many women in his company that do not get caught having premarital sex because they simply did not get pregnant, unless they have other evidence. As a woman working for a christian company if you know you are already breaching agreement by having premarital sex, and then you get pregnant then of course the evidence is there, and you knew there was a risk of obvious evidence being seen. Woman can get pregant and if they do before marriage they took that risk. I think DR holds unmarried men just as accountable if he find out they were having sex out of marriage, even if they can't pregnant. Evidence is evidence. Now if she wanted a child for her self without being married, she could adopt, or have artificial insemination from a sperm donor or invetro fertilization, I dont think God wants you to have premarital sex just cause you want to raise a kid on your own.

The basis of his business is biblical teaching on life and finances. He falls more in the category of missions. It’s no surprise he would have tight rules on employee conduct at work and outside work. You directly represent the company you work for to others in the world around you. It’s very similar to working for a retailer or service business and badmouthing it publicly outside work hours.

The problem Dave will run into is the picking and choosing of who has to follow the rules. Chris Hogan was allowed to keep his job after multiple affairs if he took counseling. He had a book coming out that would make a lot of money for Dave so he was allowed to stay much longer. Dave Ramsey can argue that the woman got fired for violating company policy that she agreed to. However, when there's a conflict between company policy vs. federal law, federal law always takes precedent. What will probably happen is the woman won't be hired back but may get some maternity leave compensation since federal law states that a woman has a right to it. I listen to Dave's show and went through Financial Peace University. I would say I'm "Davish" in re to what I learned in the class, and I have a lot of respect for him. But if Federal Law says you can't fire a person for being pregnant then he may wind up losing this lawsuit. On the other hand it is his business and should be able to run it his way. He already lost an $80,000 lawsuit for firing someone because they're gay. He has this and one other lawsuit pending.

Firing someone for sex before marriage is hardly a detriment to anyone's place of work. It's not immoral, it's discrimination. And we have actual US Labor laws to protect against that, FYI...

Biblical teaching includes FORGIVENESS. Many "good church people" are GUILTY of fueling the abortion industry through LACK OF COMPASSION.

His teachings on money are not biblical. They are mostly helpful reasonable, but they could as well be recommended by an atheist. He himself is a Christian and he sells his courses via the churches. Plus he is a control freak.

I'm not a Christian and I don't care if people engage in premarital sex, but I 100% support Dave's right to run his company however he chooses. He built it based on certain principles, and if you don't agree with him then you don't have to work there.

So would it be ok if I fired every person in my company who was a registered republican voter because I only employ democrats? How about if I fired every Christian because they didn't fit in with my company culture? What if I chose to fire every man because I only employ women? What If I refused service to straight couples because I only work for gay couples? What would you say if I refused service to white people and served people of color? I honestly want your thoughts on this.

@@BigNameJamesStuff I am a Libertarian. I would fully support a world in which everyone can do what they want with there business. I 💯 percent think that would be ok. But unfortunately due to affirmative action as well as many other things that is not currently the world we live in. The racist and sexist companies like the ones you named above or companies that only hired men and whites would naturally go out of business over a short time or at least you would know if you were supporting POS owners.
