Chad Daybell is 55 years old. The appeals process takes about 20 years. If Chad develops Alzheimer's or some other mental incapacity (during the appeals process) will they still be able to execute him given that he would be incapable of understanding why he is being executed?

It's why I enjoy the fact that henwill be on death row. In GenPop, he would have access to libraries, more outside time, other people to socialize with, eat with groups, phone calls are easier to attain etc... on D.R., calls are bare minimum, outside is only on decent days for an hr (most times, not even a full hour), can't work to buy a tv for himself lol, eating in solitude, sitting in solitude... everything is just by himself. I love that for him. Especially a type like him!!! Well Chuddy Chubster! You outplayed yourself 😆 🤣 😂

The juror wasn't saying the fact that he didn't speak was a reason they gave him the death penalty, she was saying that they wanted him to speak so they could have some mitigating factors. That's all she meant. I don't think they assumed guilt because he didn't speak. They just wanted something to be able to use in deliberations.

I don't think that they held it against him that he didn't testify because he didn't testify what I think they had a problem with was his lack of allocution. Or calling any witnesses on his behalf. It was as if he was saying I have nothing to say that could possibly mitigate getting the death penalty. So I would definitely push back on your comment that they held it against him. He didn't testify because they didn't

I hope this helps his children step out of the denial phase. As long as they believe in his innocence, they will never properly heal. If healing for anyone is even possible. I can't wait until we never hear their names again. Two of the most selfish, evil people on the planet.

The jurors were talking about Chad talking in mitigating circumstances not testifying. Is that considered the same as testimony?

Look at Prior just writing away in an effort to ignore the reading of the sentence DEATH x 3. He was the perfect lawyer for Chad.

prior will file for a new trial over the fact that he was chads only lawyer due to the idaho statue discussed back in January. especially since he's on death row. just costing more time and money foe the people of that state.

This lady is doing everything she can to help John Pryor get an appeal for Chad. Judge Boyce told the jury that they could not consider if a defendant does not testify, but she keeps saying that she considered his not testifying when she deliberated.

You understand this wrong. After the guilty verdict they had to weight on the penalty and Chad not speaking at the end , which he was allowed, is not the same as to testify, he had no defence nore showed remorse.,That is what was and is allowed to be looked at in the death penalty face, they did right.

I didn't know real justice still existed in America. Evidently it depends on whether the state even has capital punishment as an option.

Isn’t it during the decision phase- guilty or not- where you can’t hold it against the defendant? But in the penalty phase, they allowed to judge if the defendant expresses any remorse or not. I thought it was fine to judge on an absence of then making a plea for their lives- remorse- etc could in fact me judged. I have not heard to jurors say anything about chad not actually testifying during the trial.

Well... He's going to see the "end times" he claimed were coming. Only it'll just be him, alone strapped to a table and paying for all the lives he took. The jury delt that justice with a quickness. Too bad Lori didn't receive the same!

It will be probably 20-40 yrs before he might be put to Death. So why show the death bed now??? Jumping the Gun aren't you, or was this just for Dramatic Effect. This case and Lori's was dramatic enough.
