i've never liked the camera on head when driving routine, certainly when out the truck, but i do like the veiw from a dash cam. hopefully you use a mike on shirt/coat so you can still voice while recording. great content by the way.

Would it help to talk to Prime management about word-smithing a disclaimer that the views expressed in your vlog are not the views and opinions of Prime Inc., etc., etc.? Keep plugging away bro. I wish there were some training classes for the ones who are really hands on and the cdl permit book isn’t very helpful for me in my case. I often times went with my dad over the summer and have experience on the road and know a lot. I recently moved to Springfield. Very inspiring videos!

Prime can get stuffed, "safety" can get stuffed too. Your head cam isn't the problem, the problem is drivers that don't take a loaded truck seriously. This industry has absolutely gone for shit, and mega carriers need to shoulder their share of responsibility it. Keep it real.

I'm a second-year high school student aiming to become a long-distance truck driver at Prime. My doctor told me that I was color blind and that I was born with no cells that can distinguish between green and red, But that doesn't mean you can't tell the difference at all. I understand the color of the traffic light. However, it can be difficult to distinguish which are dull reds and which are green. Is it possible to obtain an A-class license? (I'm Japanese)

That argument safety gave you for why you can’t have a head mounted camera (because you take your video content more seriously than your job) but can have mounted cameras throughout the cab makes absolutely no sense. What’s the difference between that and your phone headsets? If it’s for job purposes you could argue it’s the same purpose you have a forward facing camera for accidents. If they cut the cameras all together it’s one thing, but that head mounted camera explanation is absurd.

Makes perfect sense. A stationary mounted camera sees what it sees. It dosen't change unless you move it. When the camera is head mounted, you can choose what you want the viewer to see. This can draw you attention from driving. Haven't you ever seen others do the "wow, what a beautiful sunset" as they are staring out the side window to get that shot?

Gotta ask……. Since I can’t find a response. Does EVERY person applying to Prime have to ride with a trainer for 50k miles? What if someone already has CDL and drives but wants to switch to Prime? Thanks

Just depends but if you have 1yr tanker experience and you apply online and pull tankers you WILL NOT need to do OTR training with a trainer. You’ll do 3 days of orientation and 2 days of tanker boot camp so 5 days total then you can pick out your truck. Everyone’s situation is different. If you took an extended period of time without trucking let’s say 6months-1yr prime will require you to go over the road with a trainer for 15-25k miles. Also they look at if you been in any at fault or no fault accidents. Hope this helps

Filming at your customers terminals and DC's is not a smart business move, make your money trucking, not on YT. your customers companies proprietary processes/ facility and intellectual property is theirs, they do not want other cameras out of their control at their facilities, it will get your contract canceled real quick. Weather i agree or disagree with this policy, i keep my contracts because they know none of my drivers will be filming their locations. Notice how you dont see the drone footage from the sky anymore, Just Truckin ruined that for us all. Thanks Justin

Hey Rex are you willing to help out one more driver my name is Lorenzo my driver code is ALCLRE I’ve been following you since December. I’ve been on this truck since October and I still have 15k miles to go. All the people I was in class with have finished their TNT but at the rate I’m going I’ll be stuck on this truck till April or May. They put me in with a regional driver and it seems like he spends more time at home than on the road just leaving me in the truck. They have me stationed out of Minooka. I asked for a different driver but she said they are short of drivers. I don’t have any critical events and I’m easy to get along with. It would mean the world to me if you would take me on. Thanks

Being worse than a Karen cause they can call a phone number and give a truck number for the smallest issue. I don’t know why drivers feel the need to display their truck number and everything else.
