Brandon you are a Lucky guy to have meet this HERO. He just wanted to give back to community he lived in. Help others in there time of need. The time a volunteer has to spend now in service of others, just to volunteer, people don't understand the continuing TRAINING that is required to be a volunteer FF. I have a special place in my heart for these givers of themselves to help others. May he RIP.

Such a great tribute to a great volunteer server of his community. The time that a Volunteer Fire Fightier has to do, now to keep up there Training with EMS, Hazmat, special Rescue technically People don't understand the volunteers time spent to serve there community. And it can end in a Heart beat. So meany great givers of there Free time. Lots die just having say a Heart attack on a call. Have done REHAB work along side a Paramedic, checking vitals on a guy just doing live fire training. ( Part of the Training to keep them up to date) they are over heated in all that heavy gear. Sweating profusely. Vitals all out of whack. Proud men and Females. Who say "O" I'm fine. But there body says different. They just want to save the People of there community's. And they give there LIFE in-service of others. YES lots of them go and become payed FF. But I have a special place in my Heart, for the ones that just volunteer. It is a breed of men and women that give there life to HELP others. Such a great Tribute to this MAN May he rest in peace.

@@SpeedbirdFF I do Adviser work with Cadets. Drive the Engine for there Hose Lay training. We have a regular Engine + a Tender (1500) gallon, a Brush attack F-450 Ford. Two donated Aid units. 4 vans ( Rehab supplies) a Ford explorer for are Retired Batt Chief. We work with the Paramedic called out on all large Fire events. Monitor FF, replace Fluid loss, checking vitals, fill Air bottles. Reload Hose to get Rigs in service. In the HOT weather. The Tender & Brush rigs go to wildlands fire camps for stand by use. The State replace costs of use of Equipment. Lots of the kids get scholarship to go to Anchorage Alaska to the FF college there. To help them get jobs in Fire service.
