I have an 88 model like yours. I saw where you removed the tank. What is your plan to remove the pump? It looks like the pump assembly holds up the driveshaft.

Yes, on mine the driveshafts and transfer case for the pump are all supported by the pump housing that is mounted to the frame. My current plan is to support the transfer case, remove the pump, and fab a new crossmember to mount the transfer case.
