Firing up the Allen Models Fitchburg Northern Live Steam Locomotive

6 жыл бұрынGlenn Swain fires up the Allen Models Fitchburg Northern at the Orange County Model Engineers club track in Costa Mesa, CA. This logging-style 7.5" gauge locomotive was built by Erin Swain and Jack Sessums, with help from Glenn Swain. The engine was designed by Capt. Tom Rhodes using Allen Models Chloe parts with the pilot truck from the Consolidation. Allen Models offers the plans and castings for this wonderful little engine at allenmodels.com/

I was a conductor in 2011 and 2012 at the Orange County model engineer club. These trains are amazing. A lot of great experiences volunteering there specially on the meets and the time we got to give family rides on the weekend good memories.

probably too expensive for anyone watching this. Edit, Ok real answer about 10 to 15 thousand dollars. Anything 10 grande & less is a lot smaller. In other words, you cant ride.

Good catch! Yes we happened to be in the loop path for a local air show that day - murphy's law for video shooting and rolling sound. I had to wait until they passed each time to shoot. The air show was where you see them in that shot off in the distance, but when they came around for another pass they were right over our heads!
