@@JohnHoranzy It's funny. I expect to be a natural at this. Arrogantly, I still quietly do, but to be honest? It's at least 5 times more challenging than paramotoring, while the guys with experience here are light years ahead. Nonetheless, today was epic: I had my longest personal best thermal flight ever. Next, add in an XC, (trying to reach the hotel we're using, 7 miles or so, from the launch site) and the day 's challenges were set before us. 6 of us landed short in sugar cane, horse pastures and barren fields just 2500' from the LZ. One guy in our group broke his hand hitting a fence and being yanked up in the air... due in part to the famed "El Pacifico" winds. Winds that aren't supposed to be problem this far south. To boot, I face planted off of launch 7, after a poor inflation that I tried to salvage. We have video of all of the successes and catastrophes. Posting soon I hope.
