Welcome to the JLU diesel family! Before building out the inside I suggest installing sound dampening mats. Makes a huge difference in sound also helps with temps and is an easy DIY. Next Venture Motorsport makes some great skids too. A clear satin wrap would look sweet and protect the exterior. Congrats and looking forward to more content with your new mobile “crash pad”.

Hey love the Jeep, one mod I would recommend is rear storage bags that attach to the rear rollbars when you open up the back end. I am using XG Cargo, they are a little pricey but well worth it. There is another brand that attaches to the other side of the same rollbars “Supree” they are kinda of ok, a bit cheap but that’s because they are cheap. I use both brands fir the extra storage until recently I threw away the supree passenger side because it hung and covered up my Subwoofer in my JL Rubicon, so now just using the three which is more than enough storage. Also look into the JCR overhead mollie system you can install above the front seats to add a GMRS radio or extra switches for your accessories. Anyway looking forward to watching you build your Jeep..

I put the 3 bar Rhino rack on so I can carry tent and basket for recovery gear. The Gazelle T4 tent is nice.(I'm short 5"9 so I can stand up fully in it.

Chewy for Chewbacca and also for camels who are always chewing. I always think of Wranglers as the camels of all vehicles. I like Spider or Gecko also for all the rock crawling you'll be doing.

Excellent. Looking forward with great interest. I just ordered a 2023 Willys Eco-Diesel, and have similar plans to outfit my just as you do.

I live in Seattle, can give you tons of tips on Diesel ownership and Rubicon specific things i found that people have issue with. A diesel is not just shut up and drive if you want it to be happy. Like for instance the derate of power is really fuel quality dependent and how you MANUALLY shift the transmission to keep the engine in the sweet spot and prevent heat soak.

Black Bear. Put a wrap with a Black Bear will go good with the Jeep color. Also add a Bear for your wife and kid. Showing a family like you have.

Congrats on the Jeep. I’m sure you’ll love it. My wife got a rubicon in ‘21 and it’s been our primary family vehicle ever since (only have 2 kids). It’s a great starting point and pretty capable as is. I can also second the opinion on the roof panels. Not just for the temp regulation but also sound deadening. You’ll appreciate the ride and sound of the rebel when you go back to it haha

As a play on your recent video where Shadow was stuck, I'm thinking "Quicksand" for the Jeep. We have a Tundra and a 2021 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon, found the Clayton Off-road 2.5" premium overland lift kit was great and you can DIY for the install. Paired with some 17" Method wheels and 35" tires (it's my wife's daily driver as well) it's extremely capable. Looking forward to seeing the build!

You'll get through trails so much better and the add ons on these is rediculous. They make these shells that have the build in pop up tent.
