I bought one this year, tried it, and bought four more during a sale. There were times that it tasted to me like a salted plum cream, and I like its velvety texture in my mouth. Thanks as always for the vid!

Grabbed a tin from a local B&M (& at WA prices that’s not cheap) but I’ve been curious about this one. First bowl & I’m impressed with the earthy umami sweetness. Definitely excited for at least a couple weeks in a jar. I’m reminded of Yorktown, a favorite “meat & potatoes” all day stoved Virginia blend. Also picked up Tupelo but will wait for spring to pop that.

I haven’t had Yorktown yet but it’s on the list. I did a review of Tupelo as well if you haven’t checked it out yet.

@@sonnythepiper Yorktown is a real favorite VA of mine. Admittedly one note type blend, I just love that deep cooked VA flavor; be it stoved, steamed etc. Very consistent, bulk available, I hope you enjoy it Brother 🤘🏼

Sonny, just watched you r series on bulk blends, loved it. A couple of additional suggestions: Sutliff's Match Barking Dog a codger American/English blend. A big latakia component. On the aromatic side but very light aromatic is Match Field and Stream , President Ford's favorite. You should give it a try.

I wouldn’t say it’s up on the Anthology level but it’s not bad at all. Definitely a different approach from C&D.

Just had my 2nd bowl last night. Left this post on MR's spot...Second round at a much higher elevation (traveling)....over the moon this time! Packed super light after 15 dry time (used about 3/4th of a flake - guesstimation) first half bowl revved things up [slow & steady contemplative plumes of smoke - cloud like] then I switched it up...what if I toss out my ash mid way? and so I did...again fine white ash but this time the rest of the bowl ...sublime! Good stuff mang!..I actually tasted the subtle sweetness of bread notes topped with all kinds of other wonderful (and a super light hint of raisins from the perique) I expect age will only better the batch. Very glad I stocked up!!! 🙂👍 (I recommend a full dinner prior!) Total time 45 mins.

Got my tin. I really like the flavor of it, but I still just don't like flake tobacco and that's the only negative I have.

I completely get it. That said, flakes are awesome for melding and combining flavors and different leaves together. Keep at it; maybe you’ll prefer flakes one day.
