Oh my goodness, what a stunning pen! A great nib choice as well. I know we sometimes talk about excessive packaging but I love the presentation of Nakaya pens. I believe at this price level a posh box and beautiful kimono is important. Well done for keeping it a secret in your collection for over a year. In case you cannnot tell, I'd love to own one!

Amazing finish, which is no surprise to me. I really like the design, size and all round aesthetics of the pen. The only Nakaya I own is the magnificent Decapod Twist. And this pen looks like something I’d happily buy whenever I possibly can. Of course, I know the price would be daunting. But I’ll try not to care about that. The nib is gorgeous and seems to write splendidly. That is something that can often, by itself, make beautiful pens worth their price tags. And this Nakaya has more going for it beside its lovely nib.

Love my Neo Standard. My favourite out of 35 plus fountain pens. I didn't like the way mine wrote at first. Sent it back for adjustment, no difference observed. Sent it to Mike Y and it came back perfect.

I have this same pen (with cursive italic nib) as my one and only Nakaya -- not because I don't love 'em, just for budgetary reasons; this model was the most reasonably priced. Mine has been continuously inked since I bought it a few years ago!

That is a beautiful pen. It would take me a long time to feel comfortable writing with a pen like that. Do they have a jade green pen. I once went to a place called Jade House in Singapore. If you could get a pen in that colour /finish would be just amazing.

What’s the name of the nib modification you picked? I’ve been debating getting a Nakaya for a long time (waiting for the money) and the only option I see is what they call an elastic modification where they make little cut outs on the side like the Pilot FA nibs. What was the option that you picked for your nib?
