Taking a first look at Line War today! This is a brand new innovative RTS that comes out today! I had the chance to play it after I received a key for free to try it out and I had a lot of fun so I decided to make this video to show off the game and some of the mechanics!

Happy there are plans for singleplayer, I hate multiplayer only strategy games.. I tend to spend the first long while just fighting AI before I feel like playing others

This looks like an intriguing RTS with all the different land air and sea type fighting, Wait for mods and updates to see what else they put in.

Yeah I really liked some of the mechanics they tried in this game. A really unique take on the genre. I saw you have something cooking and I'd be happy to take a look but as is normal, I can't promise any content.

@@VulcanHDGaming Yeah I'm interested to see how it develops. Should be interesting once the additional modes and whatnot are added. As for what I'm cooking up, of course I would not expect any promises at this point! You gotta do your own thing and it looks like you're not hurting for stuff to cover. Strategy fans are eating well these days! But I'll give you a ping one day when I feel like it's ready for outsiders to take a critical look at. Thanks much for the reply!

Could use an AI skirmish mode for practice, but if you're good with just fighting other people or yourself, it's definitely worth picking up in its current state.

Alpha tester here, my brain is notoriously bad at multitasking. This game is one of the few games that require so minimal micro that I can actually play medium to large scale conflicts without having a stroke. Highly recommend people to give it a shot, and matchmaking is very fast.

One of the best strategy games I've ever played. Still in it's early stages but has a lot of potential for e-sports.

There is a sandbox mode that I have found to be very helpful. You command both sides and can switch between them. I know it's not ideal but it's a good practice area.

@@the.punchline33 Yah sandbox mode is great. The devs explained that they dont have the resources to make a campaign and developing an AI that can play with this game's mechanic is very difficult.

As someone with sketchy internet access. The lack of single player mode put me off. Multiplayer only games just dont do it for me because games die once the players move on

This game has some fantastic conecepts and I hope it inspires future devs, as the line commands and overall focus on strategy and outsmarting are much more important that apm and crazy macro / micro. I hope that in the future win conditions are included and also looking forward to see the mayhem in the upcoming 2v2 / 3v3 / FFA modes. Sadly this game will not gather a huge audience, as it is made by two people (amazing job, guys!) and they cannot invest their time into creating a great artificial intelligence (due to the games' unique concept and scripting) for single player, which leads to people getting angry (of course) at the steam forums (who would have thought ^^). Still, if you have friends interested in a chilled out strategy game, than this is really great to play with them. Also appreciate that in this game ping does not really matter.

gotta conquer your own ego if you want to not mind play vs pple instead of ai, its rlly not a big deal and always more interesting than playing a dumb ai lol
