I also and truly believe that Peter is an extremely damaged, highly wounded individual that is absolutely incapable of showing love to anyone including himself in his current state! I believe that until his many many many many layers of hurt and pain aren't: pulled back, apart and dissected and you get to his core root and ADDRESS and RESOLVE his true underlying issues Peter will continue to be the same Peter that we see today. Is there hope for Peter to be able to give and receive true love, absolutely but it's going to take true dedication on his part and a phenomenal therapist!
