Thanks for the interesting preview! I think the Tokina and the very similar Viltrox 85mm 1.8 are currently the best "bang for the buck" 85mm 1.8 lenses for the Sony mirrorless cameras. They also have a great bokeh and are possibly(?) based upon a very similar lens design.

Hi Darren, nice first look review. Tokina does produce more than 1 full frame prime for sony. 100mm marco, 20mm firin and the 85 you reviewed. Also has some crop primes for fujifilm and sony. They need to upgrade their marketing strategy for sure.

I meant to say full frame Mirrorless, but you're right, I didn't know about the Firin line of lenses - more proof to the Tokina marketing problem :-)

100mm macro is a beast. They make amazing lenses 👌🏻
