First Look: Phoenix Rising Begins Daytime Testing Busch Gardens Tampa Bay 6.8.24

Phoenix Rising at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay has begun daytime testing while the park is open, and thanks to some of our viewers, we now have footage of it up-close! Listen to that B&M roar as the train flies through the layout, and we were also provided a night run in this new quick update!

Just thinking of the BGT layout.. really think once the Epic thing opens that's gonna push shit to this park. If you think about it it seems more than likely an gigga would be added. My guess, an B&M gigga.

I find it so funny that all the big B&Ms recently get stuff with sand and don’t make a sound but yet their first two family coasters have a roar. How funny that Mako, Kraken, Manta, and Pipeline are all quiet yet Penguin Trek roars.

It’s a nice family coaster. Enthusiasts need to realize that while they’re criticizing it. This isn’t Montu!

While Phoenix Rising offers a SIMILAR RIDE EXPERIENCE TO Montu with the other similarity being that they are both B&M inverts, one is a high-thrill coaster and the other is a mild thrill attraction meaning more family-oriented like you said so they are on two TOTALLY different planes of existence so they CANT be compared to one another even though they are the same style of coaster.

Curious to know why they went with B&M instead of Vekoma for this style of coaster? Vekoma has already made several of these models. B&M has not.

SeaWorld Parks has an amazing and long standing relationship with B&M. It is believed that there was some sort of “deal” or arrangement between the two companies. Penguin trek and Phoenix rising both being family coasters and somewhat a first for B&M only adds to that theory. B&Ms are not only reliable, but overall crowd pleasers. Win/win for Busch Gardens and SeaWorld.
