When Dad married Mom, she had me and my younger bro. We were 5 and 6. They went on to have 1 son, our baby brother and Dad legally adopted us even before that. He was an AWESOME daddy. We lost him to cancer in 1998. But he's a LEGEND FOREVER to us! MISS YOU DAD! ❤❤❤ 😢

Thanks to my Grandfather and my Stepfather. You both stepped up after I lost my Dad. I wouldn't be who I am without you. I miss you both.

I actually looked this song up to play for my son this year on Father's Day. He stepped into that role when he met his beloved and she had a toddler son already with very little help. He told her he wanted to be in that child's life even if they ever broke up. They now also have an almost 2 yr old little boy together & this Nana loves them both. (For my Dad, I discovered a perfect song earlier this year by Manowar called "Father" and shared it with him for Father's Day. He absolutely loved it.)

It's a love song to step-, adoptive, and foster parents - all the people who choose to love beyond the tie of blood. Not a common subject for a song in any genre, but one that speaks to a lot of people and honors people who deserve to be recognized but often aren't.

Thanks, as always, for taking my requests. I'm glad you enjoyed this so much -- Brad is one my favorite country singers from the 2000s. He has a lot of other heartfelt songs (Little Moments, We Danced), and some fun/silly ones too (Celebrity, Sleeping on the Foldout). I'll be sure to request some of those soon!

My mama had 3 young kids 11,10 and 9. She met a guy who didnt mind and in fact included the kids in eveything they did. He taught them to swim, to repair cars, to defend themselves, let the daughter do his hair/makeup/nails. A few months i joined the party. My dad never saw my siblings as his stepkids and considered them his babies. My sister wanted him to walk her down the isle at her wedding because he was her papa. Unfortunately he didnt get the chance to do it. He passed a few months before the wedding. My brothers and I walked her down. We danced to this song as her father daughter dance. A few ywars later my brother dedicated this song to our dad at his wedding.

Nick, you really have to fix whatever’s going on with your videos. They start out playing, then you stop to make a comment and they’re blurred the rest of the way!!! Don’t you ever check your videos?? Otherwise, I love the content and commentary

Hi Rick. So this is something KZfaq forces me to do after it’s already been uploaded. I have no way of knowing ahead of time. It’s due to strict copyright issues. The only other option is to put a filter on my video ahead of time. I’m sorry it’s not something I like doing. It’s completely demonetized
