Su-Metal English have improved a lot since Metal Resistance album. Su-Metal speaks with a Southern accent and have that twang which mostly non-English natives especially Japanese people. Different with Moametal and Yuimetal, both of them still speaks with a strong Japanese accent. Su-Metal, Moametal and Yuimetal are very respectful, humble, polite and give a thoughtful answer to a question asked. Kitsune Up My Friend. 🦊🦊🦊❤🤘🇯🇵🇸🇬

You can see how much Su has worked on her pronunciation from early interviews to later interviews, and in songs where she (they) sing in English. On the BMTH song her pronunciation is on point, emphasising the L sounds, which are white difficult for non English speaking people. What is most impressive though is how, as she is speaking, she is correcting herself on the fly, to make sure she gets it right. I do like the different twangs she has in her voice as well, like a southern drawl lol.

They have worked hard on learning English over the years. I think Su is pretty fluent now.

It's always so cute when they mix up the Ls and Rs when they speak. I'm almost a little disappointed when they get it right. 😆

I think there is some scripts in the interviews, but Su-'s English listening ability is high from the beginning. I also intend to practice English and enjoy overseas reaction videos of BABYMETAL. Thank you from Japan.

⚡ 💀 💕 They've been putting in the effort since they first realized they would be performing overseas. Although English is widely taught in Japanese schools, there's a big emphasis on grammar, rather than real life conversation.

That part where the interviewer asks if they write their own lyrics. That is fake. At least i'm pretty sure. They would never answer questions in english without knowing the questions in advance. They would never do an english interview where mean questions were asked. I don't know why the video maker would do this. But all her videos are pretty bad. I recommend avoiding anything made by 'Megitsune'

I'm fairly certain that video segment you are referring to came from a video by someone else. I recall seeing it some time ago.

@@Jordan-Ramses, it does look fake to me. And poorly edited which is secondary evidence in my mind that it did not originate in the unhelpful guide. Though that long pause before the second "no" could be waiting for the translator. I am fairly certain that is how that segment always ran regardless of where I have seen it. I allow my memory may be faulty. Agree that, based on the costume, this would have been from a time of heavily scripted interviews, at least pre-screened questions. But also, Kobametal is a sly kitsune so I would not want to second guess too much about what questions he would or wouldn't allow.

Replying super late so you probably don't care anymore but actually it's not fake lol. Although you could argue Su's response isn't 100 percent correct because Moa and Yui wrote the lyrics of one song '4 no Uta' but the interview itself is 100 percent real. I seem to remember it was pretty difficult to find the interview but I'll link it if I do. I think the channel doing the interview just edited out the pauses during when the questions were being translated.
