Dimash’s “Ave Maria, Ave Amore” section really elevates love to the status of angels, juxtaposed with the climax which is desperate and almost a fierce war cry for love. I don’t know the language but that’s my take away. I’m probably completely wrong, but it makes me cry too because it exposes the good and the ugly sides of Love and the human condition no one can truly explain. Xx

I remember my exact response the first time I heard it from being completely mesmerized from the sound of his deep voice at first the my audible gasp during the angelic high notes to my never ending smile at the end. I also can promise that the number of listens on Dimash's channel to this, Love of Tires Swans, and Sinful Passion is because hearing these are essential to my day every day.

Put aside for a moment what Maestro Krutoy and Dimash can create when they come on stage and put a spell of anyone who has unimpaired sense of sight and hearing. Put yourself the the shoes of any member of the orchestra in the background and any fan in the audience on that day. The full impact of what they experienced as participants and spectators was initially emotion and a sense of wonder that one is lucky to experience maybe once in a lifetime. It's later that a more intellectual reflection comes: "I have just witnessed a piece of cultural history happen before my eyes."

I've listened to this song dozens of times. I *still* shed a tear when you presented it. There is so much beauty, from start to finish... Igor and Dimash are at the top of their game in this one. Amazing. The narrative structure of this song is simple, but it's also genius. Let me explain. In the first section, the longest, Dimash sings to the audience. He's telling us about his dream-like love. Then he *shows* us the dream in the section remarkably similar to Ave Maria, with a tonal quality that is *not* your usual counter-tenor sound. This is *soprano.* It shouldn't be possible for any male singer. It is for Dimash. He is no longer engaged with the audience, notice? His eyes are closed, or they look up at the ceiling. He's *dreaming.* Then Dimash wakes; he reengages with the audience, and he tells us how the dream made him feel. Which is *energized,* able to do impossible things. Which he proceeds to do with that sustained belted note held perfectly for 17 seconds. I usually forget to breathe. At the end, he's not the one gasping; I am. Is he *trying* to make us faint? In the US military, young officers learn how to present briefings. This is the lesson: tell your audience what you intend to tell them. Then tell them.
